Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Yes, he/she will get an error message about being ignored.
If it won't be sufficient, feel free to poke me in a private message. Harassing other members here isn't exactly something I support.

- Filter for langauges for Stories/Logbooks
- Remove any requirements for creating flight groups/flight leader (let squadrons organize themselves, e.g. Squadron Leader can also lead his own flight group, etc.)

MitxelHi, i think if it posible add photos of the avatar with her personal equipment. I dont know if are relevant but could be an addon (like in the ships tab). The New inara works fine now on my tablet. THANKS!!!
Hello, it's no planned at the moment as the loadouts may not be so "stable" as ships are, but I will add it onto the list for the consideration, thanks for the suggestion!

Hello, the limit on all squadron ranks (except squadron commander) are remove in the new Inara version completely.
About the languages - yeah, I am considering adding some filters into settings that will filter out logbooks and bulletin boards stuff by the user preference.

In your case it's caused by the cookie security set (samesite=Strict) on the persistent session cookie and the fact that you had no active/current session cookie set at that moment and you have visited Inara via link from another site (Frontier forum). It caused this cookie was not loaded at first visit (via link), but was loaded on another click (the active/current session cookie is set as Lax, so it hasn't this limitation). It's right it may be confusing, I will consider possible security drawbacks and may set the persistent session cookie as Lax, too. Thanks for mentioning it.

Apparently going "My Profile" -> Settings does not take me to a screen where all my settings options are available. So I have to find the rest of my settings hidden behind random cuts, an interesting approach.
Stuff like favourites being hidden behind a drop down, that I have to move my mouse over to trigger, then move my mouse to the other side of my screen to select, and then when I get there all the actual information I wanted is beneath the cut because all the UI is so blocky and takes up so much space on my laptop screen that whenever I click a link the buttons at the top take up most of my usable screen. And I have to scroll twice as far to get at any of the information I wanted.
Meanwhile, the quick links I had set for the top that condensed all of the functions that I wanted one click away have just been removed ...
Whose experience is this new UI meant to be improving?
I mostly use Inara on a 720p laptop and a vertical 1080p monitor (where usually I give the browser half the screen unless I need to read a specifically long post). This new blocky UI is abysmal on the dimensions I use. Please consider very seriously what monitors you expect everyone to be dedicating to the browser people pop out on the side while playing a game, before committing to a change that will basically be 5 steps back in usability.

In general - major changes like this aren't usually an isolated reaction to one thing and there are multiple factors that play a role. And you'd be surprised, the changes improved the experience for A LOT of people, but I cannot please everybody. Some things may be still adjusted, though.

It's still an unnecessary chunk of screen real estate taken up with oversized buttons hiding cuts to the actual information I want, without the quick access to the things I'd already said I want quick access to. So define fine, cos what I've got in the new format is less functional whatever orientation I use it :shrug:

Sometimes I like to SORT my ROSTER by name to check stuff, when I am not in the EDIT mode.
Just a little thing, but It feels dangerous in the edit mode.

Hello - the multicrew ships loadouts are being written into the journal and I am filtering them out on Inara (assuming the journal record is complete and I know you are in multicrew). I however cannot guarantee that for updates via Inara API, because it's up the to the app handling it (which seems to be your case). Please simply remove the ship in the ship edit and it may be also good to inform the tool author it's sending the multicrew loadouts.

KrikieuWith the old Inara, I could setup my account so it was possible (Using permissions [I think] in the setup) to see what components I have without being logged in. With the new Inara, I need to be logged in to see it and I don't find any way to enable it so I can see it without being logged in.
Is there a way on how to do that?
I have removed it because almost everybody has it hidden. But I can put the option back I guess, it won't harm anything. I will take a look on that.

Firstly, I believe some of the pages would benefit from a more "classic" view, e.g. the option to either display the new tab structure (Overview/Star Systems/States/etc.) and a "tabless" mode which simply stacks them underneath eachother for more optimal viewing on PC displays and such.
And secondly, it would be nice to at the least have all the Favourites displayed on the right-hand side again and not have them "hidden" underneath the differerent tabs. After all, they were used to quickly navigate between pages, which is made slightly more difficult under the current circumstances.
Last but not least, I definitely miss the customisable bar with hotlinks.
