Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Hello, I've noticed that my groups player faction is not listed as a player faction in the inara database, can this be updated or is this data pulled from the game?

I am missing some things in the new inara version:
- Squadron Rooster: Missing which power the players are aligned to, the current location is missing also, squadron rank shows some ingame ranks, but not the squadron ranks, ingame column shows nothing, Officers page is correct with the ranks, but shows no role. Maybe the rooster should show the same columns on every page.
- Latest on bulletin board overview misses a button beneath it to jump right to the bulletin messages (like "You would like to know more?")

First things first: Thanks for the website! It makes the game playable. Your effort is much appreciated!
While using the new design and fooling around with the search functions I realized that the commodity search could use more options. So I'd like to suggest to include system alignments and factions as another filter.
Background: looking for places to sell by superpower/factions enables BGS/PP opportunities as well as the specific Edmund Mahon sell bonus if you sell stuff in their sphere of influence.

Thank you for the feedback, I will take a look on these.
Edit: There was a misleading "squadron rank" instead of a "rank", the in-game timestamp wasn't indeed working. The role appears to be working as it should (it lists the roles like Scribe, etc. when set). The PP allegiance and locations may make it back. The difference in roster columns is that for Officers I want to make obvious what position they have, for the regular roster it's not that important (and is displayed by the icon before the name), but the higher in-game rank may be useful to see who is a rookie in the game and who may be not).

Hello, for the BGS stuff you can try to use trade route search, there is an option to limit it so specific minor faction. For having the filters on commodity search no promises, I need to check how it will go with the performance first.

How I change my Xbox Inara profile for my Steam profile in Elite Dangeours?
Elite Dangeours is descontinued in consoles.

ArtieAs mentioned on the front page, the option is there - under "My profile" you can either turn the legacy mode on, which will set some things smaller (font, buttons, etc.) or switch back to old Inara.
Has the "legacy" or "old Inara" options been removed? I specially created an Inara account today for the legacy/old style options.
While I do like the new style menus across the top of the site, I dislike the extra 'white' space on the site and the lower information density per page.

It was not, it's however present just for the existing accounts made till yesterday, no such option for the new accounts. The old version is "officially" no longer supported and will be discontinued at some point in the future (although it's running without troubles at the moment). So it's not very productive to get new users on it.

Just for the other readers, this was answered on Discord, but if you meet with a similar situation, there can be simply your PC game account linked, instead of your console game account.

As for improvements:
One small thing that I noticed is when retrieving data, the ship's names lose their capitalization.
It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but I think the old Inara got it right.

No plans for that, I am afraid. Both are just a thing for the transition of existing users, "delaying of the inevitable" so to speak. It's not so painful to adapt, give it chance.

Thanks! The ship names provided by the journal are all uppercase and for that reason I am altering them to have them "normal" and not everything "shouty". But, you can edit the individual ship(s) and change their name capitalization as you wish. As far as the name will stay the same, it will keep the format even after next ship updates.

First of all, great work for the new display, it really rocks!
I've noticed 2 bugs in the Trade routes section :
- Supply is not used in the calculation
- Sometimes the sum is wrong (in that example, 31,799 + 479 = 32,278, not 32,410)
There's also a small feature I'd like to see : in the Commodity search section, there is no easy way to retrieve (copy/paste) the input "Near star system", unlike in the Nearest searches. That may be convenient at times since there is auto-completion on Inara but not in game.

Btw., it's no longer possible to get the bigger ship picture from the fleet overview by clicking on it and the navigating through all ship pics. The bigger size is now only available from the detail page of that ship.

Thanks! The problem with the profit being temporarily shown with original calculated price (until then next recalc, which is happening each few minutes), not reflecting dynamic change was fixed. If by supply not being calculated you mean it's not being calculated into the profit per trip, that's correct. I am keeping it up to player how he will handle that information - for example, he can sit in the station and wait, collecting the commodity always when is available until the ship is full or he can simply filter out such low supplies in the search options.
About the copy to clipboard of the reference star system name in the commodity search - I am not sure how exactly it's being used? In-game map has also autocomplete and assuming the player is in the reference star system, there isn't a much need for that? But maybe I do not understand the problem entirely.
NumaPlease, please, please Artie, consider to make the site use the whole available screen resolution space.

I am sorry, but no - I have increased the site width a bit earlier and that's the max. It will start to compromise logbook readability otherwise (which is so-so even with the current width), with a couple of other things. The ship thumbnail leading into the ship details is an intended behavior (I do not want users to fish for the small link below).
