Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I have another tiny suggestion for improving the site, although this is something you may already plan to update with the next major overhaul.
On the system information page, stations are listed alphabetically. I don't think this is the most logical way to order the data; in the case of star systems it seems much more useful to list stations by ascending distance from star, or descending by type (large orbital - small orbital - horizons base - odyssey base).

KaizimmHi Artie,

I suppose you are talking about the stations listed in the general star system overview and not the stations table at the bottom of the page, right?
This one is really a little bit problematic - I decided initially to list the stations alphabetically there (and split it to groups) as it's easier to scan the list and find the desired station. Sorting them by distance will look pretty random (without listing the distances there).
But for the overhaul I was thinking about removing this list completely and bringing the stations table higher (with extra sorting for the station type maybe), because with the Odyssey settlements and fleet carriers the current "short list" often becomes huge and it's hard to use. Another option that came to my mind is to have just the "major" orbital/surface stations listed there (those with large pads) with the current detailed station list somewhere below.
Although I have some general idea for the changes I would like to do there, I haven't touched the star system page yet, so I am open to any additional suggestions.

I have a little trouble to import my FD Data.
The automatic Import does not work and the manual one ends with:
Vom Frontier-Dienst wurden nur teilweise Daten erhalten. Bitte warte ein oder zwei Minuten und versuche dann, Deine Anfrage zu wiederholen.
[httpCode: 206, fetchCode: 0]
Maybe it is bad data like other commander hab before?

Yep, it's a similar problem. Please try again (I have adjusted the import date a little).

My current thinking about possible options:
- Ditch the Market page completely and leave just the general market listing on the general station page as is now and people will adapt.
- Ditch the Market page, but add a similar view to Trade route search as is Standard list in Best trade routes, which is quite similar to the Market listings. Maybe the station market list on top of that, as a tab.
- Take all the existing tabs from Market page (Round trips, Exports, Imports, Market) and add it as tabs or as search options into Trade route search, so merge both pages into one.
- Regardless the solution chosen, adding a short station info to the Trade route search (as is on the Market page) will help to provide a better information too, I guess?
What do you think?

I see. Yeah, I agree that the easier way might be to simply have the bottom table replace the list in the overview. However, that table itself is also, by default, set to alphabetical, where I think Ls distance might be the more logical default option -- that's up to you, though.
Also, I agree that the addition of so many Odyssey settlements has complicated the overview. Personally I think the most important info remain L-pad and M-pad orbitals, with Horizons bases second and Odyssey third; you could show only the orbitals, I think that is the data most site users are most likely to be interested in.
(Especially as Odyssey won't be coming to consoles, you could argue that Odyssey settlements are only relevant to about half of the playerbase.)
EDIT:
As well as responding to your question about the market page: I personally use the market page more than the trade routes page, but merging them into one seems like a solid idea to me, as they do seem to be a bit redundant.

QuillmonkeyI'm not a trader at heart, but I use the Market page far more than the trade routes page. All your options are for getting rid or merging market into trade routes - my personal suggestion would be to integrate the trade route search as a tab on the Market page. Round Trips are already there.
Is there any particular reason behind it? Do you prefer the output format, star system details there or something else?

Meridius DexI had 465 combat bonds toward the Soldier medal and last night did a massacre mission where I took out 50 targets, but no medal showed up. After waiting a bit I did a manual update and still nothing - still shows 465. Am I misunderstanding how that medal works?
What does it say in your codex?

Your latest number in the journal says 465, too, so everything looks alright on Inara. It however seems you may have redeemed your combat bonds after the last Statistics event was written into the journal, so it should get reflected after your next game session start (and its import).

Okay, I did not realize there was a separate event on the Imara side that had to be updated. I'll look out for it, thanks!

ArtieWhile we are at it, I would like to get some feedback for the current Trade route search and Market pages. Both are providing more or less same outputs, just in a different format. I have added it initially as an experiment, to see which one will be used more and although Trade route search is used more than Market, the difference isn't big. I would however like to unify it as there is not much reasons to have two pages doing the same thing, so the question is - which one do you prefer and why?
My current thinking about possible options:
- Ditch the Market page completely and leave just the general market listing on the general station page as is now and people will adapt.
- Ditch the Market page, but add a similar view to Trade route search as is Standard list in Best trade routes, which is quite similar to the Market listings. Maybe the station market list on top of that, as a tab.

What do you think?
I'm a huge fan of the trade route view, this is a staple feature of inara that makes it unique and is often the first page I check when I visit. I admittedly don't use the market page that much, and if I want to find what to sell or buy at a specific station I usually use eddb.io (mostly for their convenient one-button swap to change a selling station target to a buying station target and vice versa).
Tbh I didn't even quite realise the overlap in information both market and trade route search provide; in my mind it makes sense to have two distinct pages if one collates the best trade routes in the known galaxy, and the other one covers trade opportunities at a specific station - and to design the different interfaces around this.
I'm not quite sure I even understand all of your specific suggestions for changes, which in a way is a function of the main problem that - somewhat paradoxically - inara suffers from: a ton of really useful features, but not always a clear path to advertising/showcasing these features. An example for that is the experimental on-foot equipment search: super useful, but hidden away in sub-menus to the point that even some inara veterans don't know about it.
So while I understand the urge to collapse similar information into one trade route page, and I don't think I would suffer from it at all, there is the danger of hiding too much functionality on a single page making existing inara functionality overall less accessible to everyone.
