Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

So is there a delay? How often is it updated?! Yesterday I did some missions and I didn't see the rank for the medals being updated. I also noticed that when rescuing 100 passengers the numbers suddenly jumped to +700 (maybe some dammed up data?).
It depends how you define delay - the data are updated on the direct journal imports via "Import game data" on your CMDR page. So, if you are keeping it on auto-updates then yes, it may be delayed (because no import was made until the update kicks in), but the data are updated right on the import without any delay otherwise.

There are known game issues with kill counting - especially if you're in an instance with other players (and not necessarily in a wing).

maybe mark gallery uploads as Private? so they can used to be linked in blog, forum or message posts?
rather than using a external service that will just lead to broken images down the road.

OptimistCynicI am not seeing any progress towards my "the exobiologist" medal appearing. I have 0 species registered still even though I have scanned and sold the data of a lot of them. Is there anything I need to do on my end to fix this?
It's an effect of the recent adjustments of the rank requirements in the game. It's just an output problem, your progression is still there, it just won't be shown until you "equalize the difference", then it will the progress bar start to move again. So Inara reflects that as well (because the value reported by the journal is same as shown in the game).
V'larrWhen searching for Nearest Compromised Nav Beacon, I'd like a column in the results included displaying the system's controlling faction.
I can add it there, I guess. Is there any particular reason why to have it there?

As mentioned by Jack, there is currently an issue on Frontier's end with the Thargoid kills registering (missing journal records). The rescues, etc. should be in though.

As far as it will be Elite-related, feel free to upload it to the gallery - if the image isn't worth to be uploaded for the other commanders to see, then it isn't much worth to be included in the logbooks as well, so there shouldn't be a problem with that. I do not want to put any private settings there, because I can clearly see people will start to misuse it and there will be no "public oversight" in cases of inappropriate images, etc.

My team kills were registering until 4 days ago. I have 2 team hyrda kills recorded here, and the rest... I certainly didn't do them myself.

Yeah totally understand, well moderators should override those flags anyway.
i was many times about to include something visual (like a tiny screenshoot) or somethings like that to explain somethings or just to show some frational detail, or to include it in a direct message, that type of uploads would greatly reduce the quality of the gallery, but yeah i do get why this could be a issue.

Yes, but no ETA. I certainly want to take a look at Starfield support next year, but adding Star Citizen is also possible. Its release is still years away and the game isn't exactly in a perfectly playable shape, so I will probably add things a bit by bit for it as there is no big pressure to have it done as soon as possible.

That's not really Inara's fault though, considering the data's coming from Frontier.
I've been in full thargoid elimination mode since the war started, recently earning my shiny one-star AX badge. My stats deffo don't reflect what I've done in the game, having only recorded 20 or so interceptor kills since the war began, when its at least triple that. One evening's work last week saw me record four interceptor kills, while one of my wingmates recorded TWENTY FIVE, another NINETEEN, and the final one eight - despite us being in the same instance together from start to finish, and all earning much the same amount in bonds (little discrepancies here and there, but just by a few million - likely from scouts). Just so happened that they got the final shot in more often than I did?
The weird thing about those numbers though, if it's just recording "who got last shot" as the one who killed it, there's absolutely no way we did 56 total.
