Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

After doing some war-winning BGS work for my faction, we've won a dozen or so Odyssey settlements in the system, but they're still reflected as owned by their previous owners on INARA. When I use the ingame system map, I can see the current owners, although this doesn't appear to go to EDDN.
Is there an easier way to update the owner of these settlements than bouncing around and landing at each individual spot? I'm currently running EDMC with the BGS Tally plugin, I've also got EDDiscovery.

You can select the settlements in Inara, click "edit", and update the faction owner. Personally I like to visit them, they update a lot more info that way.

P4welWhy "THE DECORATED HERO" badge does not count previous medals. I've taken the time to level up and it's harder for someone who has high levels of badges than for those who are just starting out. It's unfair.
The medals need to be tier 5 as stated in the requirement. You have two T5 medals (both levelled once), so your progress is 2/10 as supposed. The progress is based on the tier reached, not a sum of tiers (so for example T1+T2+T2 medals do not count as a single T5). It is no way easier for anybody having lower medal tiers because... well, those do not have any effect on The Decorated Hero progress.

There is no manual station adding - there were too many mistakes (typos in the station names, etc.), so I decided to remove it. So stations are being added from the journals/EDDN updates only (you need to visit them).

Ah fair enough. It would be nice of Fdev to add in system info to the journal files once viewed, but I guess that's like asking a rose to stop growing thorns.
It's nice seeing my faction gain dozens of new previously-unknown settlements though!

Edit: Hmm I just noticed that about a dozen Odyssey settlements in the current system are under the Installations filter, due to having their settlement type field blank. Perhaps I don't have to visit them all? I'll continue to bounce around systems and see how consistent it is.

For those stations the easiest and quickest way is to check their type on the system map in the game and then set them manually via edit. I guess some of them may be "Surface settlements (Odyssey)", the rest probably will be "Surface settlements (Installation)".

When I sort the INARA system station page by installations, some have a little grey icon to denote type, some don't. All of the ones that lacked icons were Odyssey settlements in the ingame System Map.

Edit; Looks like it's a little of both, regarding hidden stations and installations. While the missing-field stations did fix most of the missing settlements, it looks like there are a couple that I have to visit manually to add them. Still, the installations tab gives me something to check before flying places!

I don't know who exactly it is to check, but I guess he/she has some T5 medals "over-levelled" multiple times, which also counts towards The Decorated Hero progress. You can see that in the medal's progress bar like "1x", "2x", "3x" and so on.
