Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

That makes perfect sense, Artie. Thank you.
Except for the 'error occurred or the access was denied' message when I update. I'll give it some time to cool down.

How can I help Inara have correct information? On Inara it says faction A owns a settlement, and when I flew there in game, it was actually owned by faction B instead. I installed ED market connector, and I am on horizon's live.

If you have EDMC running alongside the game, it should be good enough. Just verify it is allowed to send the data to EDDN in its settings, so 3rd party apps will get the updates. Alternatively, you can import your journal via "Import game data" button on your Commander page, that will update the station properties, too (assuming you docked there and a proper record is in the journal). Thanks!

Oh I didn't dock at the settlement. So it sounds like to update who the owner of the settlement is, I would need to dock up at it. Okay thank you.

The manufactured material Tactical Core Chip is shown to have a capacity of 250 on INARA. It is 100 in the game. o7

Artie, would it be possible to reduce the "wingman" requirements a wee bit from the current 8 squadron members to 5 or something? Some of us deliberately keep our crews small! (We have 7, and admittedly the fact that badge is missing on my profile is driving me NUTS! )

Thank you, the material cap was updated.

There are no requirements for the squadron ranks for a long time, so feel free to set any rank to any member as you wish.

Oh, I was talking about the "Wingman" badge where the requirement is "Being in your current squadron on Inara (with at least 8 active members) for a period of time."

We have 7 active members, so it's... sadly blank!

Ah, I was wondering why you are mentioning the badge as I misunderstood the point...
Hmmm, yes, I can lower it a bit.

Note here that Selene Jean sometimes unlocks just by recommendation. I have attempted core mining, so that may be one. And found well over ten Painite spots during travels. And shipped over 10 Painite dug by others. Might help that I'm double Elite trading/exploration.

Searching on the net revealed some engineers may unlock themselves at random, maybe I got lucky with her. Selene Jean got most mentions of this.
Anyway, Painite spots are easy enough to find during exploration and building a ship capable of core mining is also so. Never mined the 500 tn of ore though.

Is it possible to include starport state (Operational, Damaged, Under attack) as a filter option when searching for starports? It's annoying that Damaged economy doesn't always mean station on fire and people needing evacuation, and although everything is on in-game map, you won't find out if large docking spot is available until you go to the system

Hey guys, I’m trying to manually edit my ships current loadout but inara won’t let me. Not sure how, any suggestions?

Hello,

somehow not all the transfered system data is available on inara. For example:

I explored many systems in February 2024 and I sold all the data to Universal Cartographics at an Carrier in the System NGC 7538 Sector IR-W d1-73

But none of the systems are now available in Inara (except the system with the Carrier itself, most likely this was reported by someone else before.)

In my flight log nearly all systems are "white" with no data available, when you click them.
(I tried to attach a picture, stored locally on my computer, but there was no way to add it, because I should type an "URL" to insert the picture...)

What might cause this problem?

Additional information:

- I am using EDSM to transfer the data

- The data is available at EDSM

- There is no error message and I can see the name of the systems in my flight log at inara (picture above), so I guess that basically there is some kind of data exchange to inara

At the moment, it's under the Economy (there is also the Under attack state) - it lists stations with Damaged or Under attack state (regardless their economy). I've hooked it up there initially as there weren't many stations with the states, but it's right that solution is not very clear and I should revisit it. Meanwhile, use this approach, it should work.

ThePhaseMaster[PS4]Hey guys, I’m trying to manually edit my ships current loadout but inara won’t let me. Not sure how, any suggestions?

Hello, there is no manual ship loadout edit, the loadouts are imported from the journals only (but that won't work for the Legacy game versions/consoles, unfortunately).

SmartyHello,

...

Hello, that's by design - Inara is not storing star systems deep in the black, unless it has some significance (there are stations, carriers, POIs, etc.) as there is usually no point to store star systems somebody flew through once and it won't be visited again (or somebody will fly there a year later or so). So in such cases, it's only in the flight log and the last star system is also set as player's current location (so it can be used as a point of reference for searches).
