I have been looking for a component, it showed up in the search, I go to the system with the carrier as listed and the carrier is no longer in the system and no way to update the search to remove the carrier.

However, I suppose if your log files does a scan of the system and doesn't find an FC that Inara was expecting to be there it could be flagged as location unknown. That would atleast prevent it from showing up in your searches.

I suppose it depends if a system scan shows all FCs or just those within a certain range. What do you think Artie?

Artie Inara updates FC's location on the owner's update/import or when somebody docked on it or when somebody "sees" it on FSD jump. Setting the FC as "not here" is problematic, because there respective journal record may be missing for some reason (for example FC is out of the default range the signals are listed, partial journal records, etc.). So I can reliably say "the FC is here", but not so reliably "the FC is not here".

The only option is either its owner will update it (either manually or via journal auto-updates) or somebody else will see it in another star system (so the FC will be relocated). I do not want to put any manual button like "Report this FC as missing here", because it will be misused and will get false reports (either by mistake or by ill intention).

I was trying to find a station where i could buy a DBX, and was looking for one with -15 discount and close to Hakkaia, where i have my "homebase" for now.
The query worked fine and found a lot of stations/systems.
So i jumped to Mbukarla, which was the one closer with Independent faction, meaning it would be the Li Young discount available for everyone.
But when i get there the system is exploited by Felicia Winters. Come back double-checked and Inara does point it as being exploited by LI.
So i tried Zandu and the same happened.
At 1st thought it could be that the systems weren't in use or something and weren't being updated, but Zandu is listed has updated 5hrs ago.
Seen this with a few more, but no point in listing all.

What am i missing?

Kasumi GotoSo, I'm having a bit of an issue with a log entry I'm writing. If I put a 'quoted' piece of text into it, the entire preview text just disappears and acts like there is no content to it beyond the title. That doesn't appear to be an issue with any other entry with such. How could I fix this? (There is a lot of text in it so I'm not putting it past that being the issue, because it's too long.)

On a related note - I have noticed that putting two "quote" texts into an entry will similarly result in the preview text going missing, which also prevents the entry from appearing on the main page. The entry I am referring to above had one initially containing some guideline text, which I then removed and replaced with another, different text meant to appear in the final publishing.
