Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Hi Artie,

I cannot tell you how happy that makes me... We have allied ourselves here with various groups and ended up having to create a separate site to do exactly what you just stated.

Will the "alliance" be it's own entity with respect to not needed to have ownership to one particular wing but wings could participate?

While forming player group alliances it would be very beneficial to be able to point potential allies to an "independent alliance/coalition" type page/site to gather more information.

In other words.. will there be a way to view current "Alliances (and the groups involved)" like you can "Wings (with pilots involved)" here on Inara?

Ok, I read your second paragraph more closely and it seems you are already planning on everything.

Man, that's awesome and the work you do is amazing... I'm a software dev myself of 25+ years and to see what you've built here is pretty impressive... I appreciate all the hard work you put into this...

Big Pappa: Yes, whole coalition thing is meant to be independent where all wings involved have the same rights and options. Of course, it doesn't eliminate the possibility to make a power-related coalition or cat lovers coalition or anything else, that's just a matter of a formal goals and priorities set. Overviews like what wing is in what coalition and vice versa will be there for sure.

when you wanna add a flight (or squadron) in the roster list. you can't do it without fulfill the list with lower ranked pilot.

the it would be better to be able to create it without fulfill it at the creation.
as we could fulfill it later.

Ah, no, then it will lose whole point as there can be made "empty" flights and squadrons without actual members, it's like no flight/squadron at all. And also it will add just complications to upcoming flights ranking, etc. Communication is the key, so it's not hard to establish a flight with all members set depending on interest of wing members. Also, there will be additional user settings with their role preferences in two days, which will also help.

Artie, I remember a while ago, you were thinking of customizing the application process for wings.

I would like to ask for/suggest the following:


A new user wants to join a wing.  He clicks join and he is prompted to answer a series of questions which will help wings better sort there people.


Example. You click join.

You are prompted to pick the following.

1. Play style:
A. PvE
B. PvP
C. Both

2. Preferred Activity:
A. Trade
B. Combat
C. Exploration

3. Platform:
A. Xbox
B. Mac/PC

4. In-game Name Matches Inara Name:
A. Yes
B. No


What do you think? Feasible?

Veyder: Actually, there are some changes coming tomorrow that will fits it:
1. wing will be able to set if join requests text is required or not and also default text in join widget can be customized
2. play style, preferred roles and game version/platform will be displayed in requests automatically (when set by player in his/her Settings).

There is currently no field for in-game name, as there is expected that users will use their in-game name here as well, but that can be solved by join widget customization mentioned above.

Hi Guys ...
Been here a while and normally sit in the Federation room until I get to know you guys and have team up with a few like Vaelel and Pyropaten and im finding it fun.
Was mostly trading in my anaconda but I am quite liking the combat side of things so I have kitted out my ship for this now. I still intend to trade and will buy another anaconder for trading but I thought I would post here just to let everyone know im here and my intentions.

Im not really too chatty until I get to know people until the ice is broken so I may jump into the Ghost squadron room and listen in to the banter now and then now I know its function.

I was there for a while and was listening to the 30 mins it took to align everyone up for the shoot.
Only just starting to scratch the surface of this site and the forum comments so im trying to find out as much as I can but it all takes time
