Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

So is anyone else getting "Issues detected" as the server status for Elite? I was looking forward to updating!

Nope...mine updated fine, but they broke my docking computer this time. It hangs up just to the right of the 'spot'...sits there cycling...they can't possibly be playtesting these updates...

Artie
Peregrinus19.... I am currently parked on "CALIFORNIA SECTOR DL-Y D4 C6 looking at the 2 Barnacles here on the planet...was just wondering if the location is not in the database or something.....

I currently added a batch of 39k new star systems, unfortunately these two aren't in this batch. I will check them directly in the game and I will add them manually to the database later today.

Not a problem, was mostly just curious but I do appreciate you updating the star systems & all the AWESOME work you do here Artie.

Thanks again for all your hard work!!

The Elite community isn't that big. I'd prefer it if we try and build bridges instead of burninating them. New guy had a rough entry, but why not: forgive, forget, and find a second chance to offer?

I do agree with you, but, the Devil's Advocate in me has to say - "You can't be "elite" if you let just any hoodlum into the club. Elite status is earned."

Hopefully a lesson has been learned.

Artie - have you considered making n00b comments moderated? Some sort of karma/rep system might help keep the fora civil.

I've seen such things become hostile in its self on other websites

And let the thing potentially happen again? A new guy (who may actually be an elite veteran this time, unlike myself), pop on in, but says something wrong and gets disliked by a few more people than liked? You'll have to have a safeguard to counter against something besides that imo..

I will simply delete some posts after some time, it's a painless and easy solution.

Krazy ScottHey, Artie, I've noticed today that right here on these forum posts everyhing is chopped off about an inch in front of the 'quote' tab, as though there was a box the same color as the background covering it up...not even sure how much of these posts I'm not seeing...?

oh, and XB1 this time...*laughs*

Hmm, it has probably something to do with the input window sizing. It has sometimes problems during window re-scaling and it may be a similar issue. I will take a look on it once again...

Yep, I've seen karma go sideways as well. It's funny what people will do for fake internet points. But then, the game has a karma system built in, and rewards having a good standing with factions with more access/better missions. We already have a proto-karma scheme in the Gallery by way of "shiny!". There's also already an Inara rank, but this seems to consist of self-reported in-game ranking. IMO it could serve as a measure of merit on Inara, where people who actively contribute to the site in terms of participation and content could get some internet points, if they so crave. Merit being determined by the Inara community - with Public, Wing and other components.

Though that's probably over-engineering things. The site is remarkably resilient and self-correcting as it is, and this is a testament to the even-handedness and level-headedness of our Benevolent Dictator.

Oh yeah, the more time you spend, now that could be noice.
One thing I about the Gallery I won't ever understand is how a piece of paper got the amount of shinys that I probably shouldn't have deserved.. XD

Can't speak for anyone else, but I, for one, appreciate the dedication and seriousness of your approach to the problem. Also, note-taking quality not unlike that of a scientist!

Artie, is there a way to restrict visibility of things posted to the Gallery to either specific users only, or to one's Wing only? If not, would you consider it?

looking to the right there is a '' to do '' list .... that is in there

This could exist on another tool, but is there / could there be a way to dump your current Micro Materials inventory to a file (similar to EDMC loadouts) and upload into Inara to build a "what blueprints can I build right now" list? It would work similar to those bartender apps where you load in everything you have in your kitchen.

BTW--
Artie is blowing my mind with these updates. Dude. You're a monster.
(Disclaimer. My name is Arthur. So - I have a predisposition towards liking you.)
