Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

MC MadmanArtie : Maybe this has been suggested before but a feature would be nice for engineers where one could "earmark" materials for blueprints. Say I have 50 sulphur and I want to roll 20x g1 efficient weapon rolls and 10x g2 ones. Total would be 30 sulphur. The available units left (20 in this case) could be shown beside or below "You have X units of Sulphur" as "You have X units of Sulphur unallocated". A "Crafting queue" (for lack of a better term) with roll count (that you can edit) could also be shown below each recipe where it now says "Can be crafted XXx". Also show this information where else applicable.

Yes, I want to improve it that way, currently I am just unable to tell when it will be done. By the way, do you know also parameters of those interdictor upgrades? Are the same as we already have or different?

Ah my Bad, was a bit too tired last night. Below are the new attributes

Expanded FSD Interdictor capture arc
g1 Facing limit blue 10% to 39%, Power draw red 14% to 0%, Range red -10% to 0%
g2 Facing limit blue 20% to 59%, Power draw red 29% to 10%, Range red -20% to -6%
g3 Facing limit blue 29% to 79%, Power draw red 45% to 20%, Range red -31% to -10%
g4 Facing limit blue 39% to 100%, Power draw red 61% to 29%, Range red -40% to -15%

Longer Range FSD Interdictor
g1 Range blue 5% to 20%, Mass red 10% to 0%, Power Draw red 14% to 0%, Facing limit red -11% to 0%
g2 Range blue 10% to 31%, Mass red 20% to 4%, Power Draw red 29% to 10%, Facing limit red -21% to -6%
g3 Range blue 14% to 39%, Mass red 29% to 10%, Power Draw red 45% to 20%, Facing limit red -31% to -11%

Hey, two things:
1) Seems that Heavy Duty Armour also increases mass (at least for Reinforced Alloy bulkheads); if you need the exact numbers I'll post them here. Here are the Mass change values for this mod for Reinforced Alloy:
Grade 1 : Min=08% Max=00%
Grade 2 : Min=15% Max=04%
Grade 3 : Min=23% Max=10%
Grade 4 : Min=31% Max=14%
Grade 5 : Min=39% Max=20%

2) I'm having some problems with viewing pages and submitting changes to INARA (have to mash submit button on any page with one, such as Cargo or Fleet ship details, or I'll get a timeout error) when viewing the site in Steam's overlay browser (which is basically their own Chrome mod, iirc). One of the things not displaying correctly is the second column of Cargo page - there are no +/- buttons; the left column works as expected though.

Artie,

When i approached the threshold calculator i spent a while thinking about the distribution of CMDR's and their effort  in relation to the % threshold. Came to the conclusion that i couldnt second guess the algorithm without spending hours and hours with thousands of data points.  But then it struck me, that instead of being accurate i could provide a rough guide as to where the boundary was, which simplified the approach.

As long as i had enough CMDR's entering data of their progress then we can guestimate to a reasonable degree of accuracy, enough for the purposes of a CMDR to decide if they want to do anouyther 'run' or not. Plus, as the CG goes along, the boundarys move, and i take that into account..

CMDR A is Top 10% at 100 tonnes, CMDR B is Top 10% at 110 Tonnes , CMDR C is Top25% at 95 Tonnes..then we can roughly say the Boundary is between 95-100. CMDR D comes along and enters Top 25% at 101 Tonnes, now means the boundary has shifted up... between 101 and 110 ( CMDR D and CMDR B ) .. Purely based on teh data points we have.

I trialled this for two CG's and once we had a few CMDRs regulary entering data it does work. The interestng point to note is that the data for Top 25, Top 10% , TOp CMDR's was updated more often...probably as the rewards were higher and people wanted to know if they needed to do a few more runs.

The excercise then i'm proposing is to host the Data Entry form for the CG's ( which i need to do something clever to account for multipel CG's) , and then display the results in a more aestheic format... I did see a way of extracting fields from a google docs form to put into a web page. I'm pushing my limits of Data manipulation, UI creation etc so want to work with some peopel more skilled.

But the feedback i've had so far has been the tool/guide is really useful... hence if we get more CMDR's seeing and using it, it will me more accurate..and might even stimulate CG's input as more people push for thier final Tier target!

Sorry for being long winded, had to get a few thoughts down..

Is there a reason why a screenshot I posted on 2016-08-11 would disappear from the main gallery? I can still see it in just my stuff but when I go to the latest gallery at page 2, 3 and 4 for 2016-08-11, I can't find it.

Hello,

As I'm sure this has been reported before and I don't feel like digging through 211 pages of stuff so here goes. The information on the engineers needs updating. I.e. Felicity Farseer does not have fsd interdicters or shield boosters on the Xbox version of the game. I don't know if there is a difference between the pc version or the Xbox version.
There is no UC to sell cartographics at Farseer inc.
Thrusters are called engines in game

And I'm pretty sure Elvira doesn't know anything about shield cell banks.

I just spend a great amount of time chasing a meta alloy hoping I could get upgrades for my shield boosters going of the info on this website. Not cool!

Is it possible, under "Roles" on the character menu, to have the option of "Diplomat", "Ambassador", or "Representative"? As much as I like having "Special Agent", my RP role is as a personal representative/Imperial Ambassador!

Artie,

There is a problem with special characters in the Quick Notes feature. This is the case with the character "é" or "è" for example.

é gives é after saving.

Thanks

Yes, the values were mostly taken with the default Lightweight alloys, which aren't affected by this mass change. Thank you for the update, I will put it there.
I am not sure why you are getting constant timeout errors, I suspect it will be rather a Steam overlay browser issue of some kind, but I will try to test it (I will also take a look on that column). Thank you for the report.

Yes, the gallery is slightly curated and some are hidden after one day on the main gallery page, to avoid flood of images. Usually these that are similar to each other of the same author, those with low technical qualities, various in-game bug screenshots, galaxy map images and so on...

Hello, thank you for the information, I will take a look on it. It was probably changed during the latest patch and was unnoticed.

Yes, Diplomat was added (the other two weren't, as Ambassador is an "official" title for some of the community members and Representative may be mistaken for the minor faction representative (but I may add it as a wing role later, when it will make sense)).

Hmmm, interesting issue, it is working correctly on my local dev version, but is broken on live in the notepad popup window (on the Notes page it is alright). I will fix that. Thank you for letting me know.

Hmm, so it seems it is really based on the commanders distribution (which is logical). I still rather prefer to have some "deterministic" approach based on the minimum set of the data (which is probably problematic in this case) than a "huge" data collecting stuff for the temporal stuff like a cgoals. But, may I see your data collected, please? Maybe it will spark some another idea, which may be a good mix in between.

OK. I'd like to mention that this image Inside the dome at Trader's Rest was the only image I posted that day and it depicted the inside of a dome at an engineer's base which I hadn't seen before and which I've never seen posted in the gallery. I thought others might find it interesting since when you fly over, you barely see what's inside.

Hello.

First of all, thank you for all the work you did and continue doing on your website. Know that it is very useful to a lot of people.

Now, would it be possible to add a link to a favorite blueprint? I'm I'm looking at my current cargo, I can see the list of my favorite blueprints on the right. It seems it would be useful if you could click on a blueprint name and be taken to that blueprint's page. The reason being I sometimes want to see the other blueprints, change my favorites, etc. Right now, I have to click on Galaxy -> Engineers -> Blueprints -> the actual blueprint.

Or am I missing something?

You can add a shortcut to Blueprints to the shortcut bar at the top.

Thanks, I missed that. Still, a direct link to a specific blueprint would be more useful.

Hello!

I'm commander Jemine Caesar, from LHS 3447-A5.

I've been flying for around 18 months now, and I'm heavily into RP. I've registered with INARA because it seems to have become the place to be, and I must say it's an impressive site. I've already spotted a few names of pilots I've previously met or spoken to, and I'm looking forward to renewing old acquaintances and building new ones.

I'll add my bio and log entries presently, but for now it's just nice to be here.

Take care,

Jemine
