Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Hey, Artie, is it possible to add more options for the statistics?

Like Powerplay allegiance and Superpower allegiance?

Artie
In any case, Nevada, thank you for the values - these 1% differences are common, it heavily depends on the module used and there may be such minor differences for the different module classes. It has probably something to do with the rounding in the game. The power distributor mentioned may be a slightly different case and there may be a bigger differences between classes and it worth more investigating (the current values are correct for sure, I have a screenshot somewhere, unless something silently changed in the game meanwhile).

But with statistics for superpower and powerplay allegiance for the playerbase

Is it possible to manually input a star into Inara? I am trying to update the market data for a specific system but it isn't available on the Inara star system search. I am 100% not misspelling anything or typing it incorrectly.

EDIT: Also, I can't seem to input minor factions into the system info. Why not?

Commanders, the game beta 2.2 is currently ongoing and with all the new stuff there is also a new feature in form of the game journals stored during your game session. You can find the journals in Saved Games folder in your user folder, for example: "C:\Users\YOURNAME\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous". It will be great if do you can provide those journals for testing of the upcoming journal imports here on Inara. You can send me your files via e-mail or via PM (link to your files stored elsewhere) or you can upload them to this Google drive to also help other tool developers (EDDB, Captain's Log, etc.), if you won't mind it becomes public. In that case please make a folder with your CMDR name here and upload your files there.

Also, I want to mention that the current Inara netlog file imports will be gone with the game 2.2 release (as it won't be needed anymore), so if do you have some records you want to import here, please do so before 2.2 (which is supposed to be release in mid October).

Thank you.

Adding a minor faction to a star system is a two stage process. First, select "Galaxy" in the top menu, then select "Minor Faction" from the Orange buttons. There you'll find another orange button on the right labelled "Add Minor Faction", which is where you create the faction.

The second stage, to add it to a system, is to navigate to the System page and then select "Edit Star/Factions". That will allow you to find the faction you just created and add it to the system.

Hope this helps.

NixiliusArtie,
I can not define the wing rôle "mission planner" on a Squadron Leader [assigned].
Can you fix this ? Thanks

It should be fixed now, thank you for the report.

Yes, power distributors seems to be an "exception" and it is scaled with the classes or at least with the grades (as some other stuff, like shield boosters). Let's see if there will be some other changes in 2.2, there will be at least some new blueprints and new engineers added and there is possible that current blueprints will be tweaked, too, so it will be better to do the updates after that.

It is not, as there was a bad experience with it, but I am doing some star system imports from EDSM from time to time, but even there may be some star systems missing. What system do you want to add here? I will take a look on it...

The minor factions needs to be added first, you can do that on this page.

BilgerFEATURE REQUEST:

Have it so you can click a button to deduct blueprint materials from your cargo, to represent getting an engineer upgrade. Should make cargo management easier.

Maybe, I have something like that on my list, but probably its importance will be further reduced with the journals which somehow manage the material tracking (there is currently just one flaw where the mission rewards are not counted in, but let's hope Frontier will add this info to the journals too).

DomaqArtie,
This will probably be a long term project but, since Coriolis.io seems to not be updated anymore, would those features be something you would consider implementing into Inara? Obviously talenden still has ED:Shipyards which he keeps updated but I just wondered.

McLeod (Coriolis author) is currently very busy with his job, but he is at least in touch. But hard to tell if he will find some time to do the updates needed. Taking over the whole Coriolis and developing it further is really a huge amount of work, but we briefly discussed with other 3rd party developers to make at least some kind of Coriolis mirror where will be the most urgent updates reflected, if Colin will find no time for the updates. But no definitive outcome yet...

I would like to have something like Coriolis here for sure, but as it is really a lot of work, I am still rather looking to some kind of integration than developing this from the scratch. It is not unrealistic, so maybe it will appear here one day...

Kantos KanQuick question:
When I examine the Exceptional Scrambled Emission Data component, I see that it is used in the blueprint Specialized Shield Cell Bank grade 3. However, when I click the blueprint, I only see grade 1 for it.
What am I missing?

Ah, it is from the blueprint which is currently not listed (as it is not in the game yet, but appeared briefly during the earlier beta), but its parameters sneaked in to this material overview. I will fix that after 2.2 release, if the blueprint won't be in the game still...

GraXXoRArtie,
on the components detail page, it would be nice to have:
 you have xxx units
 In the detail box.

Also, In the engineer blueprint list up you have the owned components in blue and unowned ones in orange

Could you do this please:
1 x Osmium (6). To denote that you have six units...
1 x Refined Focus Crystal (12) denoting that you have 12.

It's fine if the blueprint says you can make 18 but it's annoying if you are just missing a single component and it says you can make 0..

Because you could get, say 10 of the missing component expecting to make 10 rolls on the magic slot machine only to find that you have but a single MT.

It is already in the tooltips, so it's easy to put it there. Added.

Laynor Luna Lagoonai'm not sure to understand what you ask.

but look, the solution we find to be able to communicate with ONE group of our coalition is to make a private message with the entire roster of each groug. but by doing so, new recruit won't have access to this (thread) private message....

I understand what do you ask, but there is a fundamental decision how should the coalitions work in overall. One approach is to have a coalitions on "wing-to-wing" basis, the other approach is a "group-of-wings" basis. While for the first approach are the A-B, A-C, A-D, etc. threads the optimal solution and it is similar to PM discussion between allies by established communication officers/ambassadors/negotiators/etc. I mentioned earlier, for the second approach it won't work, because it doesn't allow the communication of the whole coalition at once.

But that's also a question for the other wings - what is the common sentiment about the coalitions and how should the coalitions work, guys?

lol, i think you should give a first try with that one-to-one solution, then wings will give feed back in the time:P

Hi Artie

I like the idea of the coalitions feature, it lets us build links between Wings in a public kind of way. It's quite minimal, which can be a good thing in terms of keeping it flexible, but there's also some more detail that could be added.

For example, what is the nature of the coalition - is it a simple acknowledgement of friendship, a non-aggression pact or full-blown alliance? Maybe a drop-down box could be added to define these if we choose to?

I also like the feature of being able to share missions with your coalition Wings - however, sometimes we might want to share a mission with one group, but not another - maybe we could have the option to select specific allied Wings we want to share the mission with, rather than the blanket share-with-all?
