Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

A section under profit and loss based on total asset change (not just credits) would be helpful. I regular change my ship and its outfitting and as a consequent looking at P/L (the last change section which gives feedback on CR/HR achieved) based on credits is misleading.

EssoHey guys! Im loving the idea of this website. Honestly all this and more should be in the game, but in alot of ways this is even better because i can use this on my phone or laptop wherever i go. One huge and only issue and confusion. Any way to somehow link my ED account with my account on Inara? I thought thats the case when i signed up. Do i REALLY need to manually enter every detail that in my opinion should be gathered automatically. My ranks? My fleet? My money? All that has to be entered MANUALLY? Doesnt ED have some kind of backend API? I was really pumped for this site, but when i saw pretty much everything has to be done manually...
I think the problem is that currently FD does not allow access to the API which would be necessary, I believe, for dynamic updating. Even the Trading Sites have to get their data third-hand. Coming from WoW where a great deal of the API is available, it is a bit of a pain, but it does put you in more intimate touch with your data. That is you are not passively reading the data displayed, rather, as you record, transfer data, you are engaged and this fosters ideas and thoughts at bettering your performance. Just a thought.

It really only takes a few minutes to put all the details in, unless you have ships scattered all over different stations. But yeah, there's no API to get the data. At the very least it'd be nice if FD put in a way to export all your Cmdr and ship details into a file that could be read by third party sites.

It really only takes a few minutes to put all the details in, unless you have ships scattered all over different stations.
Sure, it takes just minutes to add it. But it does not refresh itself either. If it was a one-off thing, sure. But every time i play, location and funds data is outdated. The site does not pick up in any way my new docked location or change in balance, ranks, affiliations and such. It has to be edited. Every. Damn. Time. I will use this for for its information resource, but as a personal game assistant its lacking the one thing that it needs to be useful - connectivity. Shame. Real shame.

Unless I make a major change (ship, occupation, etc) I update on average the 1st & 15th of the month. Really, not that big a deal if you don't freak and try to micro-manage the process.

I am not very sure how it is meant. There are asset changes in profit/loss table already. Also more details for Cr/Hour section will be good. Do you can please send me (PM) screenshot of your Credits and Assets page with notes what do you expect to see there?

As others said, it's unfortunately not possible at this moment and you can trust my it is really something I'd like to have there. There is no official API for such things so it's not possible to get it. More precisely - there is mobile-API for Frontier's app where some information may be obtained, but it require your game login details. And I expect that's something you do not want to give away, and I also do not want to request that from users for security reasons.
