Can someone help me with finding new members? Maybe just throw me some tips or something? Any help would be appreciated as I really wanna see my idea flourish, I just don't know how to get the word out.

As Draxxa says, the Wing Promotions page is the place to attract any potential members. Make sure to nclude a link to your wing page.
You can't currently be a member of more than one wing at a time on Inara, but you can create a coalition with another wing.
Take care out there.

Warriors SpawnHello Commanders, I'm not new to elite dangerous- but I am new to leading a group. Currently I have no other members besides a close friend of mine who's less than active all the time.

Good to see so many people are subscribed to the wing promotions board. I know you already post there so I'm not gonna tell you to do that.
I have seen your posts and I think I've seen them on other forums but I haven't noticed any individual offers made. By this I mean the posts that are players advertising themselves to wings rather than wings to players. Dangerous groups on Frontier has loads. Some will not be the members you are looking for but some will say "I'm PC and looking for RP". Jump in there and tell them exactly what your wing is and where to get involved. There will be a lot of rejection but maybe one in ten will be a yes.
Once you have a larger playerbase then people start finding you.
Also look on the wings tab under new wings. There will be a few that are doing a similar thing to yours but also struggling to find members. You can always private message them a propose to combine. It will mean compromise but if you can just get off the ground then it might be worth it. Worst they can do is say no.

- Don't spam people's inboxes with "Join my Wing!" type posts. They're annoying.
- Get to know your potential recruits - chat over PMs and / or Discord before signing them up to get an idea if they'll be a good fit.
- Set out clear goals for you Wing and bring in people who are keen to pursue them.
- If you are a "we do everything" group, you'll end up with a bloated Wing of strangers ambling around doing their own thing, rather than a focused, tight-knit team. That's not necessarily a bad thing if you are fairly casual.
- Keep things interesting for your members - use your Wing forum to keep everyone engaged and participating. Use the Ranks and Roster to set out a structure that your members can progress through.
Hope that helps, have fun!

THIS! I can't stress this enough. Running groups in other games, I've never had issues with someone I spent 10 minutes talking to before they joined, but I've had issues with probably half the people I didn't. And not personality issues, things like cheating, bringing us into wars we weren't ready for, talking shit about other members (or server admins, publicly). 10 minutes will get a feel for someone, listen to your gut.

I do kind of see what everyone is saying here and think it works for warrior spawns group. Personally, I live more in the casual realm so any form of application or interview process would seriously put me off. The way I see it is that if somebody is a straight up douche, then you can always just kick them later. Assume everyone is nice until they show you otherwise.
For the original question though, yeah get to know them first. It seems like RP needs it more.

"Hmmmm, I see there is a 3month gap in your Inara achievement activity. Did you move over to ark? Hmmmmm"
I guess There is probably a reason I don't talk to any prospective recruits. But I can't imagine why they don't let me.

Edit: actually that's not true. I just recalled a video I watched of SDC busting into Möbius and going on a rampage. That is seriously bad press. So I guess someone could seriously damage your brand.
I don't think it damadged theirs as that's kinda their thing.
