Moomin AutocueThanks to you all for the welcome!

Chin wresting is a game of skill, neck strength and sheer brutality, its illegal in pretty much every system I think and you'll only find bouts going on in hidden "chindojos" in the nastier types of neighbourhood.
Contestants lock chins and then try to push the opponent out of the ring using only their neck muscles, many get injured from the strain and its not uncommon for it to descend into a frenzy of biting or chin slamming which can cause jaw dislocations or even broken necks!
I'd like to say I won through skill but alas I didn't, I cheated by wearing a set of dentures which I bit into my opponents chin with and left them there! He was so shocked he stumbled out of the ring and tripped knocking himself unconscious, so I quickly removed the deeds to his ship, and my dentures, and ran away, leaving a bite mark..
So if you ever see a huge muscle bound Raider who's chin looks like a bitten apple...don't mention me..

I tried this once to help a friend. He had lost a lot of credits to a 'chin hustler'. It seemed to be going well, but I got hustled myself and spent 3 weeks in a medical bay.

That was the last time I ever stuck my neck out for someone

Oh god, I even make myself laugh

Hello Inara! I'm new here and i was hoping someone could help point me in the right direction. I'm a returning PS4 player that just got back into the swings of things (Bought a Type-7 just now as of today) and I'm looking to get more involved with the larger community.

I'm looking for a wing to join, i suppose. Preferably one that has a RP focus and a focus on the background simulator as that part of the game does fascinate me.

Hope someone can help o/

Hello Fendisteel, and welcome to Inara.

I'm not on PS4 myself, but I'm sure that some of your fellow users will make themselves known to you quite soon.

Take care out there.

PhelboreSafe travels? You're doing it wrong!

I haven't quite figured out the safe travels yet or the intricacies of being a good combat pilot, which has lead to my demise a few times.

Then instead, have interesting travels and happy rebuys. That's how I did it and I had fun learning! The trick is to not get get disheartened by early mistakes.

Hello
I'm new on Inara (signed up today) and have been around Elite Dangerous since June ... and had the original Elite on a BBC-B, so, while there are lots of changes some stuff was familiar when I arrived here.

What have I done in ED?  Basically bumbled around ... back in my Sidi days, I learned that running data was an easy way for a new pilot to make some CR.  (Haven't done that so much lately, exploration seems to be my main earner just now.)

I've moved up in ships so today my main rides are an Asp Explorer, and a Keelback.

About a fortnight ago tomorrow (Wednesday) I went out to Gnosis to see what would happen - that was a quiet night.  Tried the same trick last week, and woke to a very different party ...

And this week?  Well, I'm hauling worms for some swanky tea party - what's the betting any of the pilots will be given an invite?

Hi everyone, I've been lurking on INARA for a while, but recently started to post some logs and trying to tell a story with them, taking major inspiration from Cmdrs Matt Lehman, Marra Morgana, Jeminie Caesar and MMMalcolm, who's works I am a huge fan of. I started with Frontier Elite II on the Amiga in my teens and spent many years longing and hoping in vain for Elite 4 to come out, and got really excited when I found out Elite Dangerous was going to become a reality, and invested in a new gaming PC mostly so I could play it.

I have mostly been trading up a large safety net to cover multiple rebuys as I progressed onto more and more expensive ships, and recently been involved in manipulating the BGS and develop a role-playing character, but I am interested in nearly all aspects of the game, and can go from bounty hunting one week to Thargoid hunting another, and on to deep space exploration the following week. Presently I am down at the Gnosis splatting some bugs, and taking it from there.

See you all in the black o7

Welcome Seth!

Glad to hear you are a well read commander. Don't forget there is a discord where you can find all of us. There are a ton of people on here who you can bounce ideas and thoughts off of.
