Hey everyone!

Been playing Solo for a year off and on, and recently got Horizons. Took a long trip to Colonia, and learned a lot on the way. Sure is a beautiful galaxy we live in.

Have tried Open Play a couple of times, but it just does not feel like Elite over there. I guess that the original game set a tone for expected behaviour. So, I have applied to Mobius Eurasia tonight and am wondering about if Inara also has Private Groups for learning Wings, (and now Squadrons), teamwork for raw material collection and hauling goods. Perhaps collaborative exploration to cut the work down when mapping new systems? I am not sure how the rewards are divided when exploring in Wings.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I'll be right here.

Welcome. Inara doesn't have it's own private group, but the Inara system and surrounding areas in game are pretty tame.

To piggyback on Phelbore,

Inara does have its own BGS, Inara Nexus. Home system is, you guessed it, Inara if you're interested in such things.

Just don't call me in the morning. ;-)

Seriously ... three all nighters testing the beta and trying to find a PVE group to learn team play[del][del][del][del]work.

I reckon that you are one of the Silverbacks. Right?

What can new Mobius players do to meet others and learn Multicrew, Wings etc in the black, especially while avoiding all the Faction politics?

The bubble is an interesting place to visit, (for A-Rated modules for example), but not somewhere that I want to live!

Any Mobius/Inara groups in Colonia or doing long distance exploration together?

So much to see out there, and so much Cr to make mapping all the open galaxy ... it is far from empty. I keep running into abandoned ships and small settlements on "undiscovered" bodies, and it is only a matter of time before I find Thargoid or Guardian (or perhaps even Raxxla) artefacts. It is actually disappointing to be proclaimed "First To Discover" when I know that there are abandoned cartridges, occupied pods, maintained data points and even storage facilities on the planets that I have "found". It is like human litter arrives before the humans. Even NPC pirates buzz by regularly in such places ... so I leave my explorer ship without cargo, because, of course, it has no weapons and only shields to buffer landing impacts.

Fun, stressful and exciting, and awesomely inspiring. I just keep imagining how two or three explorers working together could map entire systems quicker and share the rewards, plus investigate "the unknowns" as a group.

Suggestions, recommendations and invites are welcome.

Stay safe Commanders!

Thanks, but I already enjoy the wide open spaces too much to live in a corner of the galaxy. ;-)

Looking for fellow explorers who want to try Multicrew, (sharing two SRV's on the ground), Wings to map undiscovered systems faster, and perhaps a Squadron in the beta to see how the rewards operate.

Was hoping to find people already doing this.

Suggestions, recommendations and invites are welcome.

@E.Tea,

It sounds like you are looking for Distant Worlds 2, a journey across space to Beagle Point, the (official )farthest point from the bubble, leaving Mid January 3305.

Thank you young man! I will look that up now and see if it is for me.

In the meanwhile, are there any Wings doing exploring together on Inara?

Slowly, (as I am a bit slow), I am picking up the idea that Inara is about factions and a Squadron concept ... that is not the Squadron concept in the E:D Beyond beta.

If this is true, then it kind of limits us to The Bubble. Is this right?

Hoping to find Inarians beyond the bubble may be futile? Hoping not.

Again, thank you for your reply.

Stay safe Commander

You could try Cannon. They do a fair bit of exploration.

I narrowly missed the fateful trip on the Gnosis. I was onboard the night before it left, but chickened out.
My AspX would not have lasted ten minutes in that mess!
