Gtfc1961Hi from an oldie, I love this game it’s better than the old xwing days. You don’t see many CMDRs in open play though, in 2 weeks made one friend, flown with a mate and then got mugged by some knob called lord Bluebeard. Still a great game though, so I’ve learnt my lesson to play solo unless meeting up with mates.

played Elite back in 1985, still own one of the few copies of Final Frontier, missed the third part, somehow.
learned about Elite Dangerous via my son, downloaded and started on PC right after that.
currently playing on PS4
My way so far:
Sidewinder; unnamed - "bounty hunting" on extraction site until reaching a little above 500k (560k to be precise),
Adder "Pebble Gnawler" - Abbrasion Blasters, Seismic Charge Launcher, prospector limpet, collector limpet, detailed surface scanner, refinery, small shield, cargo hold - 1 run for void opals (just before prices were nerfed)
Keelback "Workhorse" - same basic layout, C graded instead of E - 2 runs on my own, 1 run to teach basics of core mining to squad pal
Python "dicker Digger, Digga" - 3 Abbrasion Blasters, 2 Seismic Charges (for ammo capacity), "A" graded, 192 tons of cargo space - 4 runs of 2 to 3 hrs each
Trader rank "Elite" checked within 1 week.
Type 9 - laid out for surface (e.g. double Painite) mining, tried that, didn't really enjoy it, probably I'll try that again at a later stage
DBX "Dietrich" - unlock Felicity Farseer, obtain access to Sirius, obtain access to Alitoth, unlock Qwent, McQuinn, The Dweller,.... - started collecting materials at "Dav's Hope", "Bug Killer" and "crashed Anaconda"
when this got too repetitive and boring, made a 22k ly trip (needed for unlocking Palin anyway) to two black holes, learned how to use neutron highway, along the way.
bought additionally for future use: Vulture, Chieftain (tbn "Squid Fisher" - there is a 33 year old thing we'll have to settle, my dear little Thargoids) , Mamba (I like her looks too much, to leave her out), ASP X, Phantom
I do know a bit, but often enough I learn about things I didn't know before.
P.S.: not much of a PvP player , don't like it and seriously, lack the skills necessary for that
