I think it's time I introduce myself. I am Marcus and I am self-employed. I graduated from the military academy in Dromi as commander and was given a Sidewinder around late May of 3305. I was discharged with good tidings from the military because the administration needed independents with military skills to be among commanders of different occupations. It is very different from being among civilians on planetside roving around in an aeoroaquatic car.
Anyway, I lived in Dromi for awhile to familiarize myself with my surroundings in its constellation and then moved to Ay Indi around June 3305. Then I moved again to LHS 4046 around mid-July 3305 and established a home there as permanent residence.
After a while there, I thought about using the opportunity to set up a squad in order to establish wings into a fleet as I was analyzing and studying ship formations. But I had a difficult time recruiting commanders and I realized it's because I'm not an elite. Squads like Wolves of Jonai and The Fatherhood have way too many members in their squad: A squad should have no more than a dozen members with a squad commander making thirteenth member. Those extra members should be grouped into squads of 2 up to 12 members each and then grouped into no more than 2-4 wings, each having no more than 4 squads without any of them being an ally like those squads supporting a squad in the coalition. The difference is in the naming of the squads that relate to the organization that would separate them from allies as branches, e.g. B - WOJ Green Wing 1st Degree with 'B' representing a wing and 'WOJ' representing Wolves of Jonai organization, company or corp.
Therefore until I achieve the rank of an elite, I would live and work alone as the only member of an ideal organization in a squad. Just because one is an elite doesn't mean they're a leader. Also, a squad of only one member is not a squad, but a one person corporation (a squad could be used for administrative purpose only). I could join a squad, but there's no wing nor fleet(s) formation I recognize in any current organization.
Good Hunting, Godspeed and Be Careful.

Cmdr SpectreHello to all! New commander here, been at it for about a week now and still severely wet behind the ears, if anyone is willing to mentor I would accept any help. Current console is ps4,
If you are on discord, there is a r/elitePS server, where you may be able to hookup with some people. What's your timezone?

I've been away for a few years. I used my time to make a trip out to Jacques.
Done some exploring, and finally, I've settled on some mining.
I had a hard time for a while. Getting used to the controls of my Type 9 was not easy after the Anaconda, or my Krait MkII.
I've been running Painite for a while now, and it seems to be lucrative enough.
Thanks for listening.

Welcome back,
Yes the Type-9 tends to be a bit sluggish but it's alright for painite runs, yes they are very lucrative the only catch is that you need to know where to find those good painite spots.

Thanks.
I must say. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I found a decent Painite spot. It doesn't let me down anyway. It takes a little more time than the super spots people are always talking about, but I like that it's regular.

I have been around this universe a short time and finally found this place.
I have enjoyed a bit of exploration, trading and cargo runs. Taken up mining to gain a few more credits and to enjoy a little fun.
Considering doing a deep space mission soon after I have visited a few engineers.
Looking to explore places I have never been before and hope to find something different. You never what's out there.
