Howdy, I'm Sloop. I'm waiting for my new HOSAS sticks so I can start playing again. Found this site while trying to learn how to play while I wait. I've been figuring things out on my own for the few weeks I've been playing, and finding so many people willing to help online is another signal to me that I've found a really cool game here. I haven't seen another real player yet in game, despite playing OPEN 100% of the time, although this might actually be a good thing at my skill level based on the fancy flying I'm seeing people doing online. Once I get my sticks I'll focus on learning how to fly FA off and then maybe I'll fly from where they spawned me, apparently out in BFE, to some of the systems where there are more players. Maybe combine that with exploring and engineering some basic stuff. Anyway, hello out there. Hope to meet some of you soon.

Welcome Sloop! I also always play in open, and I've rarely come across other players in system. In fact, apart from the CG a couple of weeks ago and a large conflict zone, I don't think I've seen anyone. Right now, I'm out in the Outer Orion Spur, so I know there's almost no one here!
