SalmoneaBy the way, you can see that Fdev are English. Cocijo hangs over France

It's orbiting, so it may hang over any other country on its way now... What really perplexes me though is the fact that we have guns, but don't have knives in a British game.

duh... ok, but in that time it made me smile

Sasquatches (or "Squatches") are advanced, interdimensional beings who were nearly wiped out by the Thargoids, and who had been reduced to a few pockets of resistance after the Third Goid-Squatch War.

One group of squatches fled to Earth where they discovered cute little lizard creatures living happily. Squatches observed that the happy little lizards loved eating little bugs, so they began bio engineering and artificially evolving the little lizards into huge, terrible lizards powerful enough to eat the goid bugs. The goids discovered this and launched a preemptive strike to wipe out the dinos before the squatches could finish creating the goid-eating dino weapons.

I thought this was all common knowledge.

The actual theory about Bigfoot (sasquactus Americanus) being extra dimensional in nature is something i used to hear on Art Bell back in the day

Great find on Reddit:

Interdimensional intersection is why squatch photos are so blurry. Don't believe that "science' stuff about gausian or motion blur, f-stops and aperatures. It is interdimensional intersection, not pictures of bears or people in giant muppet suits taken with a shaking camera.

Actually, (haven’t I already said this?) it’s not orbiting, it apparently is hovering at a fixed point with respect to Earth’s centre while Earth rotates beneath it.

Thinder[…] Killing Thargoids is easy when everything works, this includes the SHUTDOWN FIELD NEUTRALISER, since I was in Laser range and used it every single time with 90% success, the Titan thing is something else, I don't know what level of randomity is involved but this is not worth of an advanced Sci-Fi game.

No randomness is involved, but (as was said) the TG Pulse Neutraliser drains the SYS capacitor faster than the SFN, meaning you have to get the timing right. It certainly took me several failed attempts to get the hang of it, back when I first ventured to see a Titan up close, before we had any means of attacking it.

ThinderQuite the opposite of reliable and BTW, combat system developers today do whatever they can to make pilots job easier

Unfortunately for us, game developers like to take the exactly opposite approach: to make things more difficult because overcoming difficulty is supposed to make games more fun and engaging. Too bad they often take the lazy approach and add difficulty where it does not make any sense in the context. E:D has plenty of examples.

Yes, I hate it as much as you do. I guess I have more overall patience for this particular game

RawnuI was just wondering because since yesterday there were a number of posts on Reddit discussing to stop bombing until the server tick and see if something changes. And as we know from this community, if you give it a bit room to breathe and think, they jump on every crackpot idea (see Mother Gaia and Triton permit lock). But the time for such a reorientation was too short. And the new FSD dangling in front of everyone's face were probably also too good.

The CG explicitly stating the rewards will not be granted if the CG does not finish in a week probably made all such attempts doomed. Especially as the announcement that the pre-engineered FDSs will be available via tech brokers was made, AFAIK, when Titan Cocijo was already in meltdown.

Question for the role players among us: what got you into RP in ED? How did your perception of the game change because of your RP? Also, feel free to give some tips to the non-RP folk who might think about getting into it but don't dare to do it.

this is a cool question! i don't RP here on INARA, i just write stories but those stories come from RPs in my squadron. i used to RP before in other universes because i love writing, and Elite Dangerous has one of the more believable sci-fi universes to me. i love the game and how easily you can get lost in lore, so starting a squadron to write its own narrative in parallel with the game's lore is what got me into rp for Elite specifically.

now being several thousand hours deep into the game, stories and rps is what kind of keeps the magic going. its cool to just see how everyone has a different idea of how things work in the universe, and writing stories has also made me question some ways the game works and come up with lore-friendly explanations as to how certain things function.

for any non-RP folks, no tips from me other than most peeps on INARA are pretty nice, so ask questions if you're not sure of something! start off small and develop your character from there, check out INARA's rp etiquette and stuff like that
