Gliese 868 has been my home system practically since I bought my first ship, and recently Ive noticed that it's been getting a lot more activity recently. Fleet carriers are lining up everywhere, Im seeing traders frequenting the system, and a lot of frequent passerby that I shoot a quick o7 to on my way back from missions. Although, despite the system being very good for bounty hunters, I can't see any real reason for it being so popular. The only other thing I can think of that would make it this desirable is that there is a crashed ship on one of the first planets that always spawns a thargoid item. Anyone got any idea as to the sudden spike in popularity?

The problem is much worse than that. Even if you just drop out of supercruise next to a fleet carrier, that carrier will become your respawn point in subsequent rebuy screens. So if my ship happens to get destroyed on the way back to civilization, I'll have a choice to respawn in a Sidewinder in the Bubble (and lose my current ship forever) or on that carrier in my current ship, but possibly without enough materials to synthesize the FSD injections I need to leave the system again.
A very interesting point on places only reachable by FSD injections. Love the journey videos!
Just jumping a Cutter over to Colonia to do some engineering and see what some of the area and planetary bases look like in Odyssey.
Might get the space suit out too.

I'm trying to customize the Event-Music by using EDDiscovery. Apparently you need the correct file-/eventnames for that. Can anybody tell me what these are?

possibly longer... I heard today they are concentrating on PC corrections. Hence, they are pushing back consoles indefinitely

They must be pretty bored out there on beagle point - they did mess with the wrong explorer! what you have in those beam lasers anyway!

EpisparhI saw it this morning. Unfortunately, I am not interested in chat but in information.
There are some bits and bobs she seems to drop, propably what the team has clearance for. On the other hand: Interacting with the community like that was something they were severly lacking, so it maybe helpful to regain some of the trust as it helps the CMs to "read the room", which they then can relay to the developers themselves.
