Yeah, I beleive it is a full scan of the surface that gets you details of what is on the surface, such as bio and geo locations, crash sites, lifeforms on gas giants, etc. To get that, you have to scan at least 90% of the surface with the DSS probes. For large gas giants that can mean 20+ probes if you are not using a DSS engineered for a larger coverage area.

I am not sure if previously mapped planets count, or if only new discoveries count.

Planets, previously mapped by someone else, do count. They have to be new in your own collection, not scanned previously by you personally.

Or for a perfect cheat, use Spansh Road to Riches plotter

For Exo in Odyssey look for landable planets with Biological signs, (+no human presence for potential of first footfall)
try to get more than 1 bio count, or you're just gonna be scanning patches of bacterium

6D Shield Cell Bank seems to have serious heat issues but no hack to fix it.

Heatsinks or thermal vent beams are your answer (or hack, if you’d like). The “specialised” blueprint offered by engineers also reduces their thermal load, but as far as I remember the only easily accessible one - Elvira Martuuk - in the Bubble only does them at grade 1. You’d need Lori Jameson or that guy in Colonia for G3/4.
