Burstar or somethingYou know I would have forgiven Lucas et al for the prequel tragedies if the head fell out when Boba picked up his father's helmet.

Technically speaking it was not his father but him acting as father of himself.

I'm just glad Disney bought the franchise.
Otherwise we'd still be waiting for episodes 7, 8, 9...no Rogue One or any of the shows...

Lucas really is not a very good director. He got lucky with the first movie, completely lost his vision by the 2nd...
I saw the original movie when I was in elementary and had to wait until my own kids were in elementary to see those horrible episodes 1-2-3.

But Disney will monetize the crap out of the whole universe...which is awesome. I want to be entertained, I want more stories.
Geez, now I feel like those lazy fuks that Janeway ran into...the ones who collected stories...?

I found those cyberpunks on their 1950s looking hoverbikes very cheesy tbh.

I thought they were glay*.

*In the old days we woulda said they looked gay, but that is no longer a socially acceptable term. So I invented the word glay**, meaning gimpy and lame. It casts the same sentiment, but without offense to the LGBTQ community.

*Yes, gimpy and lame would be glame, but that combo is already taken by glamour and fame. But everyone already knew that.

Those teenage power ranger looking motherfuckers were the worst thing about the series, but for some reason, Robert Rodriguez just kept using them.

I almost feel like they are trying to be cheesy deliberately. Like they must have seen those hoverbike designs and thought "YES!!!! The Star Wars fans will absolutely hate these! WE MUST USE THEM!!!!"

And not just the designs but also the paint jobs. Totally out of place on a desert planet like Tatooine where everything else is full of sand and dust.

Yup. I agree peeps. No idea what they were thinking. Them, the whole mod shop thing.. it just felt so out of place. Episode 2, 5, 6 were the highlights of the show for me. 7 started off strong, but just got dumb as it went on.

Boba: I don't want my city destroyed.
Also Boba: I have this big ass rancor that's going to destroy the city and cause collateral deaths anyway.

The best thing about those shows is ILM's StageCraft tech. All the environments look perfectly real.

Absolutely. It was pretty crazy to learn that they were using that tech. Even more impressive is that the tech is using Unreal Engine. I wonder how much they save with sets like that and if other productions pick up on it.

I just love it because it is so cost efficient that they can afford to pump out more shows. All they need is some actors and a greenscreen...

No, no greenscreen. That's one of the best parts of that 'Stagecraft tech'. The lighting is perfect for the actors most of hte time.

When I watched the first few episodes of The Mandalorian, I was like "wow, they found some impressive outdoor locations for filming." Then I learned about that LED wall stage, the "Volume". Mind was blown.

Closest thing to a holodeck ever built, I guess.
