I mean, you have only so much difference between ships really. Some so small you can basically say 'do you like the shape? Okay, it can have a fighter bay too'. The end.
What are the review categories?
Speed
Maneuverability
Versatility/Module cap
Cargo Hauling capability
Jump Range
Aesthetics (though who would review this)
Special quirks that are completely obvious if you know what you're looking at (Saud Kruger get Luxury cabins, Ship may have a fighter option, etc...)

There are enough ships in the game that this is going to sound repetitive no matter how eloquent you are. Frankly, good on him that he has found employment doing what he loves.

Advertisement, yes but not a review. Especially from someone calling himself The Pilot.

At the very least, you have to admit he has a way with words. The reviews might not be that comprehensive or accurate but he definitely knows how to sound good doing it.

He called them reviews, but it was always clear he was going for sales pitch rather than objectivity. That's what made them entertaining. They were parodies on car commercials.

So now he does the sales pitch thing at CIG? Well, then you know what to expect.

Yeah, a lot of great videos about the ships to make you buy them. It was The Pilot that got me wanting to play Elite again after a long time away from the game. It'll be interesting to see what he does with having CIG paying him for videos now. Could be a lot of fun.

It wasn't so much about the "review" of the ship that was the focus of The Pilot, but the presentation in which he does them. No need to get butthurt over someone's opinionated review of the very few ships ED has to offer.

I also wonder if he will do any other videos. Maybe under the CIG flag for ships that he and his team creates maybe. Would be interesting for sure.

I watched a bunch of The Pilot's ship reviews. I like that he more or less summed up why I like the Dolphin, as opposed to certain other Youtubers who think the ship sucks because it's not optimal for combat.

Only FDL is optimal for combat That do not mean she is good, as the ship is one trick pony. Dolphin on other hand is 2nd best small multi-purpose ship (even if you have Cobra Mk4, Cobra Mk3 is better than it and Dolphin)
