Dirnivirso the game has gone down i think. i havent checked but its going to be down for 11 hours

I'm confused on why they shut down the servers when there wont be cross-play between horizons and odyssey. Also confused on why shutting down the servers means shutting down solo play as well. Couldn't they have left up solo play and still done server maintenance?

No, solo play is still online. You just won't be matched with any other players, your actions affect the universe all the same though.

It's probably one big server structure that hosts all the necessary servers, so they need to shut down the entire thing for maintenance.

I'm surprised but also happy that FDev chose to deploy through Steam instead of their own launcher. Updating the alpha was a pain for me. If there's one thing Valve has figured out over the years, it's how to apply updates fast, even if you have no SSD.

Hm, can someone download the soundtrack? I am getting "Access Denied" from amazon WS when I try to get it from Frontier store.

Odd, my ED does not go near Steam (and never will) and I have had an update for Horizons and Odyssey already...
