GryphnnCould use the new mega-ship bridge as save points to counter that problem

That would be a lot of time wasting effort. It would be better to just hitch a ride with your ship docked to a Fleet Carrier making the trip. I mean, if you and a friend are doing this as some sort of shared adventure then sure why not? Go for it. But, it is not a viable impersonal business idea.

Episparh The sad thing is that even if you set graphics to low you won't see any improvement.

I bought Odyssey yesterday. I figure Frontier needs my cash more than ever. :-D My FPS in space went from 40 to 17. But that's not why I'm posting here. On planets, I managed to get it up from 9 FPS to 15, which was the difference between unplayable and begrudgingly acceptable. So I'd say it's worth a shot to try.

Conflict zone at extraction settlements are the best.

Or extraction settlements in general.

I'm happy enough with 20-30 fps on my fairly old rig. I can't say I've seen any improvement over the many patches.

What I did see in the last patch were 10 seconds freezes whenever I land at a settlement. No doubt caching in an attempt to improve things, but real world experience is that it's way worse than it ever was.

7-50 in ground conflict zones... 114-170 space... but CTD than relog almost every time when I'm landing... which removes ALL loot.

Ha. I look forward to that, maybe after update 16. My solution for this is to leave the bubble on an extended trip to visit all the stars in the Cygnus constellation. No burning settlements. No war zones (I call them war zones - I have never dropped into a conflict zone to find voting.)

In that case you will enjoy. Astronomical bodies are way more beautiful in Odyssey, than previous Elite versions. I wrote Elite not ED on purpose, after all I'm 53 years old
