Mary QuinnThe reasons we can't team up are many.
For my part I can't play Odyssey. I can play Horizon with a rock solid 75 fps in high, the game is awesome, beautiful, full of environment effects in the cockpit, I love that.
Switching to Odyssey is 50% less framerate (30-40 fps on most, 15 fps on foot), ugly light effects, no mode environmental effects in cockpit.
The difference is huge: I can play the former game, I cannot play Odyssey. And I'm not the only gamer who don't possess a high end computer with the latest graphic card (and considering the market at this time, I don't expect many Horizon players will upgrade their computer for playing Odyssey).
For many other reason: teaming up is not really meaningful when you can solo the game. Sadly. ^^ (there is not Thargoids on foot ^^)
PS: BTW... I'm blue da ba dee dabba da...
So, I quote myself because I've changed my core computer parts (CPU, Motherboard and RAM) for middle grade components (Ryzen 5600x, 16gbRAM) and with my old Radeon RX 580 it's playable now. I've my 75 fps in flight, even in asteroid fields in high graphics. To me, that means the CPU/Ram access is really important for playing Odyssey. But eh, it's fair on this, my old CPU has been a i5 from 2013. Nice for Horizon, but really too old for Odyssey. Something has changed will need a more robust CPU (and it's all the problem the consoles will encounter).
Anyway on PC I'm happy now, I can wait to buy another GPU when market prices... you know.
So, I'm back to the cockpit!
I have missed you
