Atusia DuvalThere is a tool for worthwhile exploration. The tool is called Trade Planner.
Under the first option, click on Route Planner "Expressway to Exomastery".

This seems like the best way. Thanks CMDR Atusia and everyone else. Great help as always. o7

Missing Planet Crash SIte ?

Hi o7

I visited the Jameson Cobra Crash Site ( following tips on youtube Hip 12099 1 B ) got farming the Gr5 stuff using the loging out & back in a few times.

But accident, while logging back in, I pressed the open play instead of solo.

I was immeditaly destroyed in my scrab. I relogged back in game but now when I scan for Hip 12099 i no longer see Planet 1 B ??

All i now see are many more planets HIP 12099 3, HIP 12099 4 & Hip 12099 5 ( with their accompaning solar objects )

I have quit the game many times & when I do a scan at HIP 12099 & view system map, Planet 1 b no longer exists to me ?

I did loose all the data I had gathered when i died if that helps ?

Any ideas what I should do to get Hip 12099 1 B back ?

Bring if to FDEVs attention ??

Many Thx

I guess you have to re-discover the planet (or rather, in this case, moon). You have to enter supercruise and use the FSS.

If that does not bring it back then I guess you’ve hit a bug. Try jumping to a different system and back, and hope it will fix it.

Judging from a recent Frontier Forums discussion, the Jameson’s crash site has a tendency to bug.

Bainsey7Is there a trick to finding planets with organic life on them? I'm doing lots of FSS's but I have hardly found anything so far snd I'm quite a bit out.
I know they have to have an atmosphere but is there a way to know whether a system is worth trying and which ones aren't worth doing a full system FSS?

Yes, there is one and in some cases, there are lifeforms who don't need an atmosphere like the anemone.

On a new system discovered (or already discovered), use your FSS to search/scan all bodies.
Then go to your system map console, click on a planet, on the screen that wil pop up, you have "description" by default.
Go to planetary information (3rd button from above), it will give you the composition of the planet (useful if you are looking a particular material) and on the bottom, it will give you the "FEATURES" which indicates biological and geological signatures.

2 days ago I discovered a system with 21 lifeforms on 4 planets, quite a bonanza, got 10 mio for each 1st discoveries.
And a lot of systems around the bubble, already discovered, have never been mapped. You can easely find your 1st lifeform discoveries there.

The FSS will also tell you if there are any biological signals (and how many) when you zoom into a planet.

Yes you are correct about having to rediscover the planets all over again as when I was killed I lost all the data of the planets I had scanned within Hip 12099

I did that & I'm now able to revisit Jameson's crash site

Thank you o7

Hello, here's a new bug, in my hangar if I click on a ship to see its equipment/loadout, I can read underneath "The ship loadout is unknown." so it's impossible for me to export them to coriolis. Any solution?" so it's impossible for me to export them to coriolis. Any solution?

Hello, as there are no full loadouts for all the ships at once in the journal, please hop into the respective ships in the game and import your game data afterwards. It should update loadouts of all ships you have been in.

Anyone knows how developers managed to get a ship 130‬ t stock heavier than a Krait MK II end up with a pitch rate 8°/sec higher with the same Class 6 Thruster and engineering???

I'm thinking of the Python MK II, because if they start to depart from standard like Class/Thrust we're gonna end up with totally fantasist results with equivalent fits...

Just posted a thread in Elite Forums...

Simple. Y/P/R rates in ED are totally arbitrary and bear no relation to physics. Same as with maximum/boost speeds (this one ought to be obvious; in real life, the only maximum speed is c). Thruster performance curves aren’t based on physics, either (see here for the general formula).

Thanks. Yeah, I figure that much, meaning there will be a lot of FDL/Mamba pilots out there who aren't going to like it a bit.

I still prefer to use my Krait MK II, partly because it is close to the Python, but more because of my Fighter and pilot XG9 Lance/Elite, I'm already over the buzz.

ok, a weird one for people to work out!!!

i was in colonia base and went on a mission to scan a capital ship!! nothing wrong there, until the ships turn all red and i Died, it ok i was in a sidewinder
then after i repeated the mission!. the sidewinder and died again ( really it not a problem : sidewinder 2) was whisked back to Lft1448 system for no apparent reason or capabilities of manging a 61h journey (22,000 lys away) back to main bubble in 5 secs

That's posting from 2018.
"Buy a Sidewinder at Colonia, self-destruct, don't rebuy - voila, you are in the Bubble again. Then transport your ships back." Thank you for testing that is still working.
