And I am playing with max gamma settings.
Whoever say "space is dark" probably never watched the night sky outside of a city away from any artificial light sources.

SakashiroI tried maxing out the gamma in Odyssey, but it seems to affect only the UI. I didn't notice any difference on the skybox.
It gets the things better on planet surface. Not big change on the sky, although Horizons share the same settings and it is affected. Perhaps Odyssey do not have that background picture that Horizons have.

Can't wait for the basement dwellers arguing with a straight face that a T Tauri star is supposed to look like an orange thrown into the night sky and illuminated by a flashlight. Realism, my arse!

I have access to Odyssey via Steam, but cannot see an option to install it in the launcher. What should I do?
What does my version of Elite: Dangerous include and does it grant access to Odyssey?
How can I report a bug or submit feedback for the Odyssey Alpha?

Episparh... Today I wanted to equip one of my ships with a stored modules ...took me like x10 the time I would need in Horizons.
That is curious, I swapped ships and transferred modules between them in no more time than it would have taken in Horizons. (but, sadly, no quicker)
Which is, in itself, a good illustration how different people handle changes.
Sadly, I can't claim youth as a benefit!

The new lighting system has numerous problems. The shadows are bugged as well depending on how they're being cast. The inside of buildings in the dock is often oversaturated with light or doesn't update as expected. My hope is that they will tackle these issues as part of optimization because it cannot launch like this.

It is interesting indeed as working with different UI/UX is part of what I do for living.
... But this was not my point, user experience is one thing, removing features with the new UI is completely different story.

Your point was that it took you 10x longer to transfer modules, surely?
Or was that just creative license and it actually didn't take any longer, but you are averse to the changes... Understandable, change is scary stuff for some.

My point was the new UI removing features and it do not make existing task easier for which I gave the example fitting stored modules.
The old way was to go to a slot , click transfer and select the module you need from filtered list. Once selected you are automatically on step 1.
With the new UI , you need to go to stored modules, find the module you want to fit , click to go to fitting screen, click to fit , click back , click on stored module to reach step 1.
That is definitely an improvement towards wasting my time.
