Elite roleplay: The docks

THE DOCKS (Dockyards)

The Docks is where all pilots berth their ships. It is the first place that pilots find themselves upon landing their ship. Docking and launching is controlled by the Citi Gateway’s Traffic Controllers while each individual dock is controlled by a dockmaster and a team of orange clad dock crew workers.

The Docks is a sparse and desolate, 0.1G environment, littered with service vehicles, cranes and landing pads. While cool, the air is dry and lightly filled with the smell of burnt metal and ship grease. Public Service Announcements blare across the the docks reminding all pilots of station regulations. The docks contain 45 individual ship docks, several warehouses storing massive tank of hydrogen fuel, and standard shipping containers of cargo, the dock’s traffic control tower and the local pilot’s market which resides in one of the warehouses.

Ship docks
Each specific dock has a landing pad, a ship hangar and adjoining terminal. In each terminal there is a passenger waiting area, the dockmaster’s control tower and several dock crew vehicle bay.

Warehouses
If the docks were already unpopulated, warehouses would be completely vacant of anyone if not for a small handful of security staff. Warehouses are completely automated and highly guarded facilities as they contain massive amounts of valuable and flammable material.
"Loitering is a crime punishable by death" - Station Announcements

Pilot's Market
The pilot’s market is best described as a tourist trap for pilots. Every person who’s not a pilot is trying to guile a pilot to part with their credits.

"The station administrators would like to remind all pilots that transactions in the pilot’s market are not protected by Citi Gateway or The Bank of Zaonce" - station announcements

General Roleplay Etiquette:

1. Control only the actions of your own character(s). (AKA: God Mode)
This doesn't matter how small the action is, even if it is as simple as scratching their nose or a direct reaction to something else that just happened. This applies to everything from casual conversation to full blown fight scenes. If you'd like someone to do something specific, PM that person, however keep in mind they are completely within their rights to say no. Especially if said action is inappropriate to their character and/or circumstance.

2. Don't brute force your way into another persons RP.
Approaching with a conversation starter is fine, or indeed some other small action. However charging in, guns blazing and disrupting the flow of another person/pair/groups conversation/arc is about as rude as doing so in real life. If something is going on that you'd like to participate in, be subtle about it. Put out a gentle hook for someone to take, but again, be aware that said hook may not be taken. If you fear it was simply unnoticed, PM the person or people it concerns. Or even leave a message in the OOC forums.

3. Good grammar and spelling is preferred.
We're not asking you to be perfect, but please at least demonstrate willingness. no1 iz gna tak u srsly usng txt spk. There's a wide variety of people here, many who speak English as a second, or even third language. There are even some with varying degrees of dyslexia and/or likely other issues that affect spelling/grammar. We accept them all here. However, people who aren't accepted, are those unwilling to accept polite correction. Remember that even a small thing like the placement of a comma, or the wrong use of there/their/they're can completely change the definition of an entire sentence.

4. Accept constructive criticism gracefully and politely.
If someone spots an issue with your writings, they may wish to help you improve that writing. They may do this through PM or even publicly air their thoughts on the OOC forum. If they have taken the time to be polite and explain what is wrong with your writing, the best way to behave is to respond in kind, using the same manner they have approached you with. It means they have taken an active interest in what you have written and wish to see more. Basically, you have a fan!

5. Don't take the actions or opinions of things done IN RP, to be directly relevant to the writers thoughts or opinions.
Basically, if some ones character calls your character a jackass, it doesn't mean the writer thinks you are a jackass. It's a ROLE they are PLAYING. Watch a movie. The argument between the characters isn't an argument between the actors involved. The same applies here.

6. It's not a popularity contest.
Your RP might be bustling with participants. You have 3 people off station in a fire fight, while another 2 are infiltrating the darkest areas of the station, meanwhile a group of 4 others are tracking your movements in an effort to stop you. Good for you, I'm sure it will be a thrilling read! But you know what? Sometimes the absolute BEST work, comes from two RP characters having a simple heart to heart. Both are valid, both are great, but NEITHER is categorically better than the other. Period.

Inara RP Etiquette:

1. Respect the setting and rules of the universe.
Inara is an Elite: Dangerous 3rd Party Tool. The RP Forums are set in the Elite: Dangerous universe. Elite: Dangerous has rules, as any fictional universe does from Lord of the Rings to Star Wars, or Game of Thrones to Star Trek. If you intend to RP within the Elite: Dangerous universe you are bound by the history and rules of that universe. Simply put, this RP forum is bound by the same rules as the game, so if it can't be done in the game, it is not permitted here. This applies to things from a 50Ly Jump Range on a normal, unmodified Sidewinder, to the destruction of entire stations.

2. Respect the characters created by others.
We have a wide variety of characters already here. It's expected that some will be similar, just as it's expected that two characters will be vastly different. Opinions of each persons character will naturally be varied, but all are valid provided they follow the rules of the universe. You are allowed to interact with, or avoid interaction with, any character in the RP forums. But you have no right to belittle others for their creation. You are not an authority figure on writing, nor are you directly affected by another persons imagination. You might not like it, but you MUST respect it.

3. Be caught up on current events before joining in.
You need basic things like character descriptions in order to interact with them. You also need to know what's going on in the surrounding areas. This is simply because the people you are hoping to RP with, might be gearing up to something that you might not want to be part of. Or simply that the most recent post, out of context, could leave a different impression on the goings on than if you gather that context. We don't expect you to read every single post from the beginning of the forums, just enough to get that basic understanding.

4. Either subscribe to, or frequently check, the Roleplay: Q&A and OOC forum.
People may be discussing something relevant to you there, or even discussing you directly. Perhaps someone asked what the general consensus on the existence or non-existence of a certain object. Or we're just chatting about random gibberish. Either way, be aware of it and use it. If you're unsure about something, such as how guns would look and or behave, or even the music selection, use the OOC forum to ask. We don't have all of the answers, but the collective knowledge and logic usually allows us to overcome an issue and come to a decision on what should be allowed. Frontier Developments, and even David Braben himself, don't have the answers to every possible question that can be asked.

5. Large Scale events exploding out of nowhere are a complete no go.
We get it. Everyone wants their character to be noticed and for people to be tripping over themselves to interact with them. In some audiences, an introduction involving you blasting in for landing in a fiery wreckage of a ship, before cart wheeling out and sword fighting 35 Ninjas before whisking off with the local celebrity for a glorious night of passion, is in fact, cool. This is not one of those audiences. It is generally considered better to build your character up slowly over time. Eventually, you might even have a legitimate excuse to fight those Ninjas. Maybe even with other RP participants by your side.

6. Perfect characters are boring.
The point of a character arc, is that it is in fact, an arc shape. One who is morally unquestionable, fully kitted out and an infinite fountain of knowledge, cannot go through an arc. Give your character flaws. Be it a tendency towards befriending the wrong people, or a bad knee that frequently gives out at inopportune moments. It gives readers something to latch onto and empathise with. You can give your character exceptional capabilities at something, but it requires balance. She's a damn good pilot with no equal, but can't drive an SRV for peanuts. It can lead to some very interesting moments between characters, be it heartfelt or comedic.

Other Notes:
It should be noted that there can be exceptions to these points. For example, good grammar when a character is speaking is actually rare. Few people in real life actually speak with perfect eloquence after all. Or previously arranged actions during a fight scene, such as someone stumbling back after a punch. What's key to remember is context.

All in all, remember this is purely for fun. We have some seriously talented writers here, and others whose writing history starts and ends at high school. But many are willing to help out in whatever way they can. All it takes is that you ask nicely.

Also keep in mind that many people who RP here, also have logbook stories related to the character, or characters, they portray. If it looks like there's an "in joke" going on that you're unsure of, it's probably in those.

In fact, some users have even gone to the trouble of creating "alts" to RP with. If you read back far enough, it's usually pretty clear who has and hasn't, and which ones are the "alts". It's therefore not unheard of to see the apparent seizing of control of other characters. If you do spot one, point it out in the OOC section. If intervention is needed, it will be sorted quickly and (hopefully) politely.

Most, if not all RP participants here have Logbook stories pertaining to their character(s). These are for the reading pleasure of anyone who wishes to do so. While it can be useful to read them in order to gain a bit of backstory on a character you wish to interact with, it should not be assumed that your character shares that knowledge. Within the E:D Universe, these Logbooks either don't exist, or are private diaries kept by the characters. Either way, without explicit statements to say otherwise from the writer, your interactions should reflect that your character is in the dark about any information you, the writer/reader, have gained from reading the stories.

Creamy Goodness IIICreamy turned like a bird of prey swooping down on its target and he stood directly in front of Amata close enough to be in her personal space. He took her hand and pressed it to his cheek before looking directly into her eyes while he spoke.

“How rude of me, Introductions should be first what? Before you is Lord Creamy Goodness of Summer-Layton in northern territories of Cubeo Three”

Creamy offered Amata a shallow bow and enjoyed the colour of her eyes for a moment before releasing her hand and going to Nerys' side.

Amata tried but ultimately failed to hide her disgust for the 'Lord's' dedication to Royal Imperial protocol, not even being remotely impressed by the title being (partially literally) shoved into her face right now, even if she had to admit that he seemed to keep his body in good shape. She relaxed a little as he stepped out of her personal space again.

“May I introduce the esteemed Doctor Nerys Nymei. A dedicated Samaritan, a surgeon with hands so steady, asteroid impact couldn’t shake them. She also possesses a pallet so refined I weep with envy”

Creamy put a friendly hand on Nerys' arm and smiled at her before continuing.

“I feel have to say, although I’m sure the Doctor will deny it, Doctor Nymei is the hottest dancer I have ever had the pleasure to be overshadowed by. When the music stops, rhythm rests with the indomitable Doctor here” Creamy gently took the flask from Nerys.

“I’ll be mother shall I?”

At least she was a lot more successful to supress a giggle as she watched him to obviously try to court Nerys, wondering if she was even aware of it.

Creamy looked at the sorry clothes folded up on the bed while he poured Nerys a cup of whatever was in the flask. The garments looked used and there was no evidence of shop bags or packaging of any kind. Come to that the flask wasn’t one of Ms Fillworth’s, there was no hamper she always packed for pilots that wanted her tea and cakes on the go. Creamy felt himself slump a little when he was confident a hairbrush or tin of styling moose couldn’t possibly be handing anywhere in the small pile on the bed. The compression bandages, painkillers, and antiseptic cream he asked for didn’t even enter his mind.

“Beggars can’t be choosers” thought Creamy to himself, and he really was glad these people he didn’t know had come simply because he had asked. The lunch box had someone’s name on it in faded permanent marker, he was confident it wasn’t the name of anyone in this room. He unpacked it and put the most palatable morsels out on the plastic and foil it was wrapped in for Nerys.

“Do make your selves at home. I’m currently blessed to be tethered to Doctor Nymei by enthral bonds but we can all squeeze up”

Creamy sat on the chest of draws and waited for Nerys to finish with the cup while he inspected the clothes he had been brought.

“What’s it like out there? Are the security services eager to interview us?”

Amata leaned against the nearest wall, crossing her arms underneath her breasts. "That's why we are here. With the exception of myself everyone in this room is currently wanted. We're only here to pick you up, get to my ship and leave the station, the sooner the better. We'll brief you in on the rest of the plan once we are underway."
19 Jul 2020, 4:03pm
Jason blinks, a bit taken aback by Creamy's enthusiastic greeting. The man was... eccentric, to say the least. He also observed the way Creamy made attempts to ingratiate himself with Ao and Amata, the latter making Jason smirk. Again, no feelings of jealousy or territoriality crept in — Amata was more than capable of taking care of herself. He couldn't help but be quietly amused, overall. His acquaintance parsed through and judged the garments and sustenance, and as Amata got more comfortable, Jason nodded.

"We have options once we're free of the station. If we want full anonymity, increased protection, or some other option, I have a few places in mind for each. But Amata's right. First priority is getting the hell out of here."
22 Jul 2020, 11:28pm
Nerys looked at Jason and Amata, alternatively, while her fingers played nervously with the thermal flask.

"We are... wanted?" she asked, swallowing. "But we did nothing wrong... I mean, I understand that surely the station security will want to talk with us... with me... about what happened, but I don't think that..."

Then, suddenly, she realized.

"Oh" she said, blushing. "Of course. You mean the instigators. By now they will know that the plan has failed. Those two hired gun said that I was the target... but I have no idea why. Maybe the security agents will ask them, I don't know... "

Catching her breath, Nerys managed at last to open the tea flask.

You know that most stations don't have a real police force. Do you really think that they will waste time and money for a pilot skirmish? This is the frontier, baby, not uptown Philadelphia. Stop being glued to mommy's skirt.

"Ok" she nodded, clearing her mind. "Yes. We need some space. But at the same time I don't want to run like a thief. That DBX and its content... except for my father's Sidewinder... are my only possessions. Currently it is a Sacred Vessel under the custody of the Dock Workers, so it is perfectly safe, but I don't want to lose it... And I want to discover who did that trick and why."

Nerys recovered her dirty flightsuit from the bathroom floor, detached the boots and put them on, folding the rest under her arm. Currently, except for the credit stick in her pocket and the pearls on her neck, it was all she owned. "I am ready as soon as Creamy is. The emergency procedure will be complete in... " she checked the wrist scanner "...seven minutes."
23 Jul 2020, 11:10am
Listening was still difficult so Creamy looked at the floor turning his head to keep his ear trained on who was speaking. It seemed no one bothered with proper introductions anymore. Creamy may very well forget everyone’s name a few seconds after hearing it, but it would still be nice to have a chance of knowing who he was in conversation with.

It seemed the hard-eyed blue-haired girl was someone outside the excitement around Nerys' ship that was willing to help everyone get clear of Citi Getaway. The J named fellow spoke with confidence as if he had dealt with this sort of thing before. He reminded Creamy of Branford, the best bodyguards he’d ever had. The man was aging now, but he was still as tough as he had ever been when he was assigned to a young Creamy.

Disregarding the J named fellows' advice was assuredly the wrong thing to do, but Creamy had reservations.  Fortunately the man had dropped the blue-haired girls’ name. Amata. Etymology was one of the few subjects at the academy Creamy had paid attention to. Amata was from one of the Greek or Roman goddesses that meant something feminine. Creamy looked at Amata from top to toe again. Her unblinking, amazingly blue eyes coupled with her demeanour suited a goddess. He’d have to look up the deity in question to see if Amata lived up to her namesake.

Nerys took Creamys’ attention off Amata. The doctor was saying everything Creamy was thinking.

Nerys Nymei

"Oh" she said, blushing. "Of course. You mean the instigators. By now they will know that the plan has failed. Those two hired guns said that I was the target... but I have no idea why. Maybe the security agents will ask them, I don't know... "

Creamy felt his arms prickle. He didn’t have a hair on his body, he was freshly waxed, but the tiny muscles that controlled the hairs still worked, and finding out the men were after Nerys hit him hard. It was business as usual when Creamy thought he was the target, but Nerys being hunted was a different matter. He dropped off the cabinet he was sitting on in shock and tried to keep his composure while Nerys, who hadn’t noticed Creamys’ surprise continued.

Again she voiced exactly what Creamy was thinking. Just like Nerys, Creamy didn’t want to leave his own ship behind. While the doctor retrieved her flight suit, Creamy picked up his clothes from beside the bathroom door. The man in the blue coat hadn’t said anything, he lurked by the door as if guarding it. He gave the impression of being just as capable as the J named chap but in a far more primitive way. Creamy gave him a friendly nod while he picked up his boots. He followed Nerys back to the bed putting on his socks and then the clothes he had been brought. He was sat on the bed pulling on the trousers when Nerys finished.

“You took the words right out of my mouth Doctor. We’ll do everything we can to get you back on track for the journey you have planned”

Creamy turned his attention to the young woman that had generously offered them a clean way out.

“If I understand you correctly Amata, you are offering to harbor us safely aboard your vessel. That is a very kind offer, I’m afraid I must appear ungrateful and furthermore perhaps even obtuse”

Creamy stopped to read the faces of the people by the door and advertise the cool determination behind his statement.

“I suppose if there is a complication, you’ll expect me to sit in your passenger cabin offering moral support while you take care of any pursuers that may give chase. No, I think not. It is going to add a possibly needless step, but I prefer to be in control of my own fate and I have a perfectly good new ship armed with the best shields and weapons the Empire can supply”

Creamy could see he was braking a perfectly good plan, but he was not the sort of man to be side-lined by anyone and he wanted to be capable of helping Nerys if anything happened while they were in space.

“Now, once I have got my jacket from Nerys' ship, my cred-stick, Pilots ID and slate are in its pockets, I’ll be ready to liberate my ship A Knight of Goodness. I can manually detach the landing gear in about twenty minutes bypassing the mag-locks, but I don’t know how to get the pad to the surface. I have spent a great deal of time flying stock Condas out of stations like this, so I’m confidant I’ll be able to dodge station defences in my far more agile ship once I’ve launched should the need arise, but I’ll need help getting the Knight to that stage if you ladies and gentlemen would be so kind”

Creamy hoped he had remained both friendly and grateful while conveying just how unshakably determined he was to reclaim Nerys and his own ship.

Amata shook her head. "I'm afraid the two of you didn't think this through. Don't misunderstand me, I too think we need to turn the table on whoever attacked you as quickly as possible, but first we need to know who we are actually dealing with in order to know how we can do that. So far the only thing we know is that these guys have access to quite impressive technology that was able to hack and/or bypass your DBX' system as well as station security in almost no time. That means whoever is hunting you has money, influence and the manpower that comes along with it."

She takes a deep breath. "Our plan is to go into hiding after telling all of our contacts, and that includes yours if you have any, to gather every bit of information on your assailants that they can. Once they relayed these informations to us and we know who we are dealing with we will be able to come up with a plan to take the fight to them. And I'm pretty sure that once we got to that point we'll need all the ships we can get, and that includes yours. But for now I think it would be better to leave them here." She looked at Nerys. "As you said, they will be safe here for now. But the fact is that you are currently being hunted. And in order to escape the hunt and maybe even turn the hunters into prey themselves you first need to know who you're hunted by and why. But gathering that intel is going to take time, so the smartest thing to do for now is to keep a low profile and let our associates gathering the information we need."

Ao, Leaning against the wall by the door, where he had been since Creamy's larger than life greeting had stayed silent so far, something just simply did not sit right with him...
Everything, despite their faces being plastered all over the station in connection to the murder of the two gunmen, had gone remarkably well up to this point, maybe he was just on edge, but either way, he didn't want to take a chance.

Quietly Ao cocked the hammer back on his revolver in it's holster, better safe than sorry, and glanced down at the heavy looking dufflebag he had been given by Alex before they left her shop, before taking his turn to speak up;

"Creamy...Nerys, If I can call you guys by your first names of course, I understand how badly you do not want to leave your ships and belongings behind, I myself can't sleep unless I've got the hum of Yamato's deckplates under my bunk.
But the fact is right now we are wanted, that is prison time if we are caught, even if we do prove our innocence through due legal process.
I don't mean to sound rude, but you two don't look like the type who have seen the inside of a prison colony...I have...and these...."
Ao gestured to his scar and fake eye
"....Are considered polite welcoming gifts"

"Right now we have two options; stay here, try to clear our names and get to the bottom of this, and run the risk of getting caught, or follow Amata's plan, this still gets us the information we need to clear our names, even if it would take time, with a much lower risk of imprisonment, if we are caught, whomever hired those gunmen will know exactly where to find you for round two"

Mr.A sat back in his chair and smiled quietly to himself with something akin to amazement;
How this man had survived what he had so far, Mr. A would never know.
But of all the places for him to show up.
The room he sat in was dark, except for the pale blue light of the screen on the mahogany desk before him.
A dial tone...
A report comes in as soon as Mr. A answers...
"Get ready...no not until I arrive...YES I AM SURE YOU IDIOT! NO ONE MOVES UNTIL I ARRIVE!"
With a click the call os cut off...
Mr. A withdrew a silver and perl revolver from within his ice white jacket and checked the chamber...this time the job would get done properly!
The chamber snaps shut, and Mr. A leaves the room

Jason's body tensed a little at the quiet sound of Ao's revolver being thumbed. His hand drifted towards his own weapon, but he maintained his calm and discipline. He moved to a corner where he could see the door and all of the occupants, leaning back and crossing his arms.

He'd have to ask Ao where he did his time. It wasn't something one chatted about casually, but given Jason's experiences as a three-year inmate at DLV-812, it might be interesting to compare notes.

"Getting off the station is definitely the safer bet. We can try to get to the bottom of it now, while station security and whoever put those people up to trying to hijack your ship and the actual murderers are all looking for us." He shrugged. "Doesn't seem like the smart play, to me."
26 Jul 2020, 1:54pm
Nerys nodded. "In my hospital, I used to tell my patients to follow the advice of professionals and avoid do-it-yourself treatments. Here, you are the professionals, so whatever you say is fine for me. Just lead the way and I'll follow you".

The wrist scanner beeped. "Yes, Leonard?"

"Emergency treatment concluded. Dissolution of nano-probes under way. Shutting down the command signal now".

"Just in time, good boy. Power off"

Nerys smiled, closing the holographic window over her hand. "Ok, my little army has been honourably discharged. We are free to go."
26 Jul 2020, 6:01pm
Creamy turned his head to face an ear towards the person talking. One word caught Creamys' attention while he listened carefully to everyone, and he only half-listened to what Nerys had said after.

Jason Frimantle .. .. station security and whoever put those people up to trying to hijack your ship and the actual murderers are all looking for us." He shrugged. "Doesn't seem like the smart play, to me."

Murderers? Had someone been killed? More than one person? Nerys was talking now and Creamy watched her face to see how she was feeling about a death connected to the hijacking. She hadn't seemed to notice what the J named fellow had said, but Creamy knew he could have missed some details thanks to his dodgy hearing. His head was still aching, his knee wouldn't support all his weight, and Creamy desperately wanted to sleep. Just following Nerys and Amata to the imperials’ unwatched ship would be very easy.

Creamy looked at Jason again. He seemed relaxed but ready, like a cat pretending to be sitting on the windowsill when in fact it was ready to pounce on its prey. Creamy had to admit, as much as it bothered him, that Jason and Amata would be better protectors for Nerys then Creamy could manage even if he was in perfect condition. Usually, his pride was padded by a thick layer of ignorance, but Neyrs did things to Creamy he wasn't used to dealing with, and knowing he was not the man for the moment bothered him. Creamy made a decision and a plan started forming in his head. He did a few experimental one-legged squats while he addressed everyone turning to Jason first.

"You, know your stuff old boy, I can see that and I'm glad you are on hand to take charge of the doctors' wellbeing in this unusual situation"

Creamy picked up his boots and took the magnets out of the heel before putting them on while he addressed Amata.

"I see the wisdom in what you both say, and I assure you Amata, I always listen to a lady when she is good enough to give me her attention, and I didn't fail to understand the intensity of the situation. I do wonder if I failed to fully convey the meaning behind my carefully crafted response to your sage counsel"

Creamy fastened his boots and tested the pull of the magnets left under the balls of his feet.

"I do remember telling you I would have to appear obtuse, and it seems I must once again underline that"

He moved to the other side of the bed and started folding his shirt carefully to hide the fasteners while he continued speaking to the young imperial lady, making eye contact where he could.

"I am all in favour of getting off this blasted station and laying low until we can approach the problem from a more advantageous direction, but I will be doing so from the cockpit of my own ship, with or without your assistance. What's more, I will brook no further argument on that decision"

Although it pained Creamy to do such a terrible thing to a beautifully tailored shirt, he lifted the expertly folded garment to his head and tied it on like a bandanna. He checked himself in the mirror. Coupled with the low budget jeans t-shirt and work-jacket he was wearing, the *bandanna* made Creamy look like a very handsome drifter. He picked up his own folded trousers before talking to the man in blue that had also failed to introduce himself.

"While it's true I have never been in a penal colony, I have been deprived of liberty more than once, and in more ways than one. The latest time was thanks to accepting what seemed to be a perfectly reasonable lift from a beautiful stranger" said Creamy nodding respectfully to Amata "That, at the time, sensible choice lead me to be being stuck on this very station ninety-eight credits away from being destitute. A pilot without a ship is as good as a prisoner Mr Blue"

Creamy tucked his trousers under his arm.

"Shall we leave ladies and gentlemen? If we are quick, we can catch the next maglev down to the docks"

Checking his pockets for his cred-stick, Creamy found only a bunch of proximity tags. Whoever owned these jeans had a lot of keys for a lot of doors.

"Oh yes, not my dudds what? Could someone leave a tip for the girl using this room, please? The people here are responsible for the rooms’ upkeep, and as we don't have time to clean up after ourselves, I feel reparations should be made. Doctor Nymei has access to my slate. She can reimburse your generosity from my account once we are free of the Citi threat"

Creamy strode confidently to the door directly towards Mr Blue.

“Chop chop ladies and gentlemen, we have reason to make haste”

Ao nodded at Creamy and held out his white gloved hand to shake creamy's;
"Name's Ao...no second name I'm afraid"
Ao reached down and hoisted the heavy bag up to his shoulder with his other hand, the sound of metal plates rubbing coming from within the bag.
"I still think this is a bad idea, but if you can't be dissuaded, it looks like we are going to have to make a change of plans."
26 Jul 2020, 8:34pm
"Capital!" exclaimed Creamy with a broad smile. "That's the spirit" he said shaking Ao's proffered hand slapping the man on the shoulder heavily before striding off down the corridor much like he owned the station.
26 Jul 2020, 8:44pm
Amata shakes her head once more and signals Jason to stop Creamy from leaving.
26 Jul 2020, 10:29pm
Creamy was the only living being in the known galaxy able to speak faster than a nervous Nerys, so the girl did not immediately realize the meaning of his words, but the pieces fell into position when she saw him walking towards the door.

"Creamy!" she called, loud enough to be heard even by his still less-than-optimal ears. "But... are you leaving alone? It is not safe! You are putting yourself in danger and... your knee is not yet fully healed. Please allow me to check it as soon as we'll reach an infirmary... your ship is not going anywhere, like mine, and we can recover them later. Please?"
28 Jul 2020, 3:42pm
Jason catches Amata's look and reaches out his arm, intent on laying a hand on Creamy's shoulder with enough pressure to keep him from sweeping out the door.

"We go blasting out of here like a hapless Anaconda trying to boost out of the station corridor, we're likely to end up as smears before we get anywhere near the docks. We need to be careful and cautious. We get a plan together first, then we can make some haste. The alternative is we risk not being able to anticipate and deal with trouble." He looks from Creamy to Nerys. "And that could get the dear doctor killed. Which I think is something you'd rather avoid."
