No worries. My head is in a jumble right now. Gotta get things worked out. I'll try and jump in at a later date.

AmarthanorQuestion... The station is it FED, IMP, Alliance, or Neutral?

Independent station in an Independent Democratic system.

Unless Inara Silver Crew get some unexpected support from a mysterious benefactor, of course...

If this is frowned upon or against the rules, please say so and I will remove this post as soon as I see it.

I am not an exoerienced storywriter. However, those of you who have been kerping up, will see that I do enjoy RPing which comes very naturally to me for some reason. Whether it's good or bad RP is a matter of opinion I guess but regardless, while I can come up with actions and reactions based on what other people write, I struggle when I have to do both sides. I.e. I struggle to write fully fledged stories where I have to play multiple parts and characters.

But I digress.

I stated a while ago that I intend both my RP characters (Luke and Lilith) to have a running backstory between them. One I'd write into my logbooks. It's taken a while but I have it started and have posted a first part now but would like some opinions before continuing.

The Logbook is Here

I understand this may be seen as self promoting or whatever, but I intend this to be the only time I post an attention seeking post like this and ask that opinions and critiscisms be Privately Messaged to me. This way, when I make edits I can have a back and forth between those who are interested in helping without intruding on everyone else.

Again, if this is against the forum rules, or just generally frowned upon, I'll delete this post when I get up, unless an Admin beats me to it.

Open question to everyone. I have an RP line in mind for Lukes predicament but I thought I'd leave it open for someone else to play the interrogator(s) in this scene.

I can do it myself, I have it all thought out in my head, but it is more entertaining with the unpredictability you get from having someone else play the other part. If you do wish to play the part, say so here (so I don't get multiple interrogators popping up at once) but make sure you get caught up with the events that took place starting on page 58 of the Galactic Bar between Cartlidge, Cerse, Luke and the characters Stryker was playing. Otherwise it would be a very strange interrogation lol. He is, obviously, under suspiscion of murdering, or being involved with, the murder of poor Marybelle amongst any other things that may be brought up during those events.

Sure I can do it. Just went over your character's bio, I'll give it my best shot.

Ok I have a few questions. Did what's-her-face actually die? Because I went through all that effort to prevent that...

Also given my predicament I feel like I would have to do something a little large scale (though obviously not permanent or even long term) to the station to get out, considering that even if my characters get the ship free the station's turrets would make short work of it. Would that be a little problematic for the others in the thread?

I think Marybelle lived. As for the escape, I've been thinking about the stations turrents. And not only that, but security buzzing around the station in their own ships. We need some consensus on an actual escape. I wonder if a hack job could shut those down? Then give the station security ships the slip via silent running? Thoughts?

I have a possible solution to this....

I was thinking something on those lines, yeah. And Luke added in the idea of some other... distractions as well. I was just hoping no one got mad over the idea of a Star Wars type "shut down the tractor beam" idea. Cartlidge is just a simple bounty hunter after all.

Cartlidge1000 Star Wars type "shut down the tractor beam" idea.

I'm actually very concerned about this. Because if we really think about it, Cart's ship is in lock down. They put the boot on it so to say. Honestly the only "feasable" escape I can see, is slipping onto another ship as a stowaway, or stealing one? I donno though.

Also, I find that the simpler the better. Adding in more disposable bounty hunters into the mix will may just confuse things for the reader.

What about a silent benefactor?

The stow-away option sounds like a more fun option.

Hate to be boring, but Nick did come in his own ship at the start.

Unless another commander would like to "volunteer?" That would be particularly interesting.

It does still leave a loose end. If/when they come back it's not like they could just saunter in and ask for the keys.
