Luke3107If you are going to interact with someone, check for a character bio in the users logbooks.

I was looking at yours and you have a bio under Fleet listed as additional information.  How did you input that bio?

Create a regular logbook entry, then click the drop down menu labelled "Category" underneath the text box and select 'Character Bio'

Thanks, that was driving me nuts looking for it.  And I could not find a forum search to see if someone already answered the qquestion.

It's cool, ask away . We get a few repeated questions here and there. There are some things that aren't immediately clear to everyone but I've yet to see anyone be berated for asking one.

Ok so I'm trying a test and it is not working afaics.  I made a logbook entry and used the drop down to make it "Character Bio"  I also made it final(public) but it does not show up on my overview page.

It won't show up on your overview unless you log out to see it from a "public" perspective.

That confused me a great deal too. Speaking of which, I have two different character bios.

Which one shows as my main on the overview? Also, if necessary, how do you change it?

Seeing Lilith's as the main bio. Couldn't tell you for sure how to set another as primary, maybe go back into the editor and change the date it was published?

Give the site a chance to update and hopefully I've sorted out the Character Bio thing.

Seems like it would make sense to set the the character bio on the profile you want showing.

Yeah but in the Roleplay Forums I have two characters and so created backgrounds for both of them in addition to the stories I've written. Made more sense to me that I keep the stories and the biographies seperated for ease of reading.

I can't figure out to view my own profile as a guest. Search will not work.

Your bio and logs won't show up on your Overview. To see them you need to click on the Logbook/Diary button in your Overview menu. You shouldn't need to try viewing it as a "guest" afaik.

I've taken a look at your Overview, Maestro, and there's no bio or logs. You could try making a test bio, save it as public and then ask if anyone else can see it...

I took it back down after I didn't see it myself. I guess I can put it up as a work in progress. I'm also happy to get critique and advice.
