As for your question about hatches, I honestly have no idea. I just use the parts that look like obvious airlocks in my writing. Many of the ships have airlocks on the back or underside.

Cartlidge1000The cockpit's viewport is called the canopy, and I'd assume any non-bridge window would simply be called a view-port, like on a ship.
