Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

01 Feb 2017, 8:24am
Marra MorganOh wow, I wake up to 83 new posts in OOC!

That can only mean one thing: someone disagreed with IWG about something.

And, as always, IWG tended to be right.

NsiteAnd if I knew this was speech and debate class, I would have preferred we handled it Lincoln Douglass instead of Policy- or maybe impromptu? This is an internet forum, my comment wasn't worthless, you're just used to allowing yourself to see people as less than you are. As you say, I am just speaking frankly. It's the truth. You have a huge head and ego, and each time someone says something you don't agree with you try to whip them with your intellect shtick. But dude, I wasn't being disrespectful to you, or condescending. You brought that on yourself.

EDIT: This all started with Trump. I just want that to be known. Had no one said that mans name we wouldn't be here right now... Coincidence? I think not.

From what I've gathered, you seem to be alone in this. I'm sorry that you seem to view me this way, but again, I've never been much for playing the internet popularity game.

It is my opinion, and that doesn't make it an absolute truth, it's based on how you've dealt with me specifically, my interpretation of how you've dealt with others, and my individual experience. So for me, it's true. Good thing about the truth is, it is also very subjective.

Not saying you're a bad guy, not saying that I don't like you. I barely know you. What I will say is you would look great drenched in lighter fluid standing next to a firework display.

A loving firework display though.

I may get carried away sometimes, but I like to think that for the most part, I'm pretty reasonable. To be entirely honest, I wouldn't be surprised if more of the users here held the same beliefs about me that you do. But I'm also true to who I am, and I have friends here that I'm true to as well. And in the end, to me, that's what matters.

You could call that our fatal flaw.

Speak for yourself xek. I'm gracious as heck

I'm not gracious.

In anything.

At all.

John "Xeknos" Mathurin...out in the real world insulting the military is a dangerous line to walk.

Regardless of "dangerous," it is extremely disrespectful. Everyone has a crappy political opinion, and everyone is entitled to one, but please don't drag the military whether U.S., U.K., or whatever, through the mud. We had to deal with whatever bullshit our politicians wanted regardless of whether we voted for them or not, but we didn't do it for them. Please don't disrespect the military on these forums, and we can all agree politics suck.

Amen, as Fox would say, let the record show that my comment was not a dis on the military or people who serve. It was a dis on Fox directly using his previous iterations contextually and pointing out their irony (Exhibit A). Similarly as I repeated his comment about feathers (Exhibit B) when he didn't freak out or get pissy. (Yes, I said didn't, we're finally getting along, sorta).

I'd never poke fun at people for risking their lives for their country- but I'm all about the hypeboy getting 'serrrrrrrrved' (cue live audience and laugh track, maybe bring in one of the Wayan's brothers).

My entire family served, I would have as well but was not allowed to. My father flew Av8-A/B series harriers, and the F4, grandfathers both served in the army.

Respect, for sure... but from one keyboard warrior to another, Sargent Star Fox can drown in a shallow pool.

Loving pool.

To whom of your family it is applicable, I am thankful for their service.

Poached eggs or scrambled?
