Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

They've certainly got that classically utilitarian "humanity first" motif.

Frankly it doesn't matter all that much. It's still just a game. One I enjoy playing more than I do debating on this forum.

People can tell you it's one thing, you have the freedom to see it however you please. We're all free thinkers here- if somebody tries to make you feel stupid because you see it differently, that's their shit, not yours. Enjoy the galaxy, be Elite in the game, not an Elitist on some forum.

Just my 2.

The Federation and the US are closely resembled, but the difference is that companies only subversively support the politicians in the US. In the Federation, the companies have their own politicians. That would be like voting for the CEO of Walmart, and Walmart being both a company and a political party.

So, are we on the road to that?

Well, 1984 did sell out recently on Amazon. Some might think so. I would speculate, but then again I speculated on Trump's chances and I was dead wrong.

Personally I'm not so worried about world war three as I am about the civil war. What a.. truly interesting tale that would be.

I think we already arrived there some time ago!

We have Trump as President... A businessman... Running an entire country... We've definitely arrived there.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if it took one hundred and thirty years for America to get to the Federation's naked corporatism, let alone thirteen hundred.

Not to worry Glaboski, I realised whos group you approached

Frontier themselves have explicitly said that the Federation is based on aspects of the modern US, the Empire is a cross of the Roman and British Empires at their height and the Alliance is the EU, opinion doesn't matter that's how it is.

Quote it. Where? Because I scoured the internet, forums, sub-reddits, never found a statement from FD. I also listen to all their live streams, have listened to almost all 140 episodes of LavRadio, and still haven't heard that sentiment officially.

Opinions don't matter, that's how it is. You told us sir! Pardon the rest of us while we 'get in our place'.

Do you guys breed internally within the Gang? Not worried about genetic diversity at all? I'd be like... concerned about that.

Opinion doesn't matter that's how it is, huh?  Gonna disregard that for the most part.  Sure, artist influence is important, but what a work does once out in the wild is often much more fascinating.  To put it another way, the audience can interpret something the artist never intended.

That can be beautiful.

Absolutely. I love that you mentioned artistry, and I bet FD would be appreciative of your position in that regard as well.
