Not every woman is a wet tissue.

She might find it hilarious.

She might force him into an escape pod and abandon him in deep space?

Did I just hear "Target Practice?"

If it was me in her shoes, I wouldn't be very happy...

NsiteJust be like 'heeeeey... chief... bud... lady... sport... sistah... homie... friend... pal.. dude... my main man... sugar... punkin... starbuck... mamma... boy it's been magical. What was YOUR favorite part?'
I like that... It reminds me of something, a fil!m maybe? But I can't place it lol

Luke3107I've ballsed up people!!! I need a hand, and any help will do, but this question is aimed mainly at the female population.
(...snip...)
Thanks in advance!!!
I would love to give you advice, but as Singleton's Awareness Month roles by, I sadly cannot say I have much to offer : p
I feel you bro... I feel you

See... The more I talk about women on this site the more it becomes clear WHY I'm single!!!

But in all seriousness, I know not all women are delicate flowers, but I do know that if I was in love with someone and they forgot about me, I'd be devastated. That's where that came from
SonofMacPhistoI'm being reminded of Saffron, from Firefly.
I wrote it and as I published it she came to my head and I realised I'd used that as inspiration
Jemine CaesarIf it was me in her shoes, I wouldn't be very happy...
As I would be too
But how should someone approach the subject to minimise how upset you'd be?
Rebecca HailShe might force him into an escape pod and abandon him in deep space?
Yeah... I can see that outcome but not so great for the rest of the story

It depends on how psychotic you want her to be. She might get really mad, then walk away forever. Or she might be excruciatingly calm, then become the stalker from hell. Which, as you know, has no fury like a woman scorned.

Indeed it doth not

Mind you, the story is meant to be a bit humorous. But I'll mull things over and see what I come up with in regards to approach. Hopefully I'll get the rest of it up soon once I've gotten this catastrophic mistake out of the way

Hey all,

Been looking at this role play. Seems there have been some disputes in the past.

Could I get a general consensus of the "tribal / community" rules of what is acceptable and what is not. Just to be on the same page as everyone else.

Luke, maybe go hallucination angle? Tap into some previously untapped part of Luke's mind?

As a relatively new person myself, the thing I've grabbed on to "Take it slow and easy." For example, your character might be as awesome as one of the Avengers, but this is more the after-party before Ultron screws everything up than the big, climatic battle.

Try not to be a special panda. Characters that are experts in everything, and uber gods are really uninteresting. Characters with flaws help the reader to relate to them.

Also, and this seems to be a pet peeve of many here. Don't inject lore that doesn't belong. Nods to various other franchises are fine, but stick to what would be in the E:D universe.

Pretty much mirroring what Stryker says.

But in addition, if someone pipes up to say "I disagree with that thing wot you just gone done" try not to take offence. I'll be the first to admit that we, as a group, have an unfortunbate habit of coming across as a tad aggressive when something crops up. We don't mean to, but it happens and we are working on it so bare with us

For clarification though, for an example of 'bad RP' follow Strykers actions during the events in the InGaBa section starting on page 58. I refer to this as the "Marybelle Incident"

Other examples include the appearance of Khajit in the bar, which is an obvious no-no as it, again, doesn't follow established lore, or having your character be best buddies with the likes of Zachary Hudson or Archon Delaine.

Basically, whatever actions you want to take have to be feasible within the game universe.

You should become a fighter pilot like me, because I don't have the game and cannot officially grab the whole "Commander" title yet

We could have imaginary duels and play like children do with their silly legos... XD

OMG, I started reading that and shot coffee through my nose! Damn funny. But I see the point thought. Okay.

Would it be a problem if I rp starting out with a sidewinder? Kinda leave the character to be shaped by the events that occur here?

I think if it's something you legitimately own in-game, it's always fair play for RP.  This is a game about people who fly spaceships around, so it makes sense to have a spaceship and at least be at that point.

Hackles tend to get raised when people step already claiming vast wealth and power and connections (eg, a day-one newbie RPing as a Federal Fleet Admiral and ordering a platoon of Space Marines to arrest every other player in the InGaBar) which aren't attainable in the actual game and which haven't been earned through RP and consensus of the community.

Not a problem at all. Go for it!!

It's something every player experiences too so definitely a good starting point
