Luke, your link takes you to page 156 (currently posts made in January 2016), which I'm fairly sure is not what you intended!

Page 156 of the Q&A Section (this section) is the one I was aiming for. I was looking at the questions asked by Bryan Iscariot, but they were made in March 2017. I'm not sure what's happening on your end though :-/

The first of which is, I had this idea for a character a few months ago but am considering changing the character a bit, anyplace you guys know where I can get a good avatar? I've mostly just been typing 'sci-fi pilot' in Google and browsing those pictures but they aren't the best. Thank you all (Jem and Stryker too) for the help!
It really depends on what you're looking for...
Could you give a bit of a description on what you want?

Do what you feel is good for your character, not for us. But one thing I will stress is if you would like to interact with others, it's good to make sure they are on the same page as you by dropping a PM etc, otherwise I hope we see you around real soon!

Quite a few people here use the character creator in Eve Online, which is free to download and use. However, Release 2.3 of Elite Dangerous contains its own commander creator, called "Holo-me". If you can bear to hang on another two or three (or four) weeks then you'll be able to use that. In the meantime I'd say just stick with the one you're using now!

If you have access to a PC, take a look at EVE Online. The character creator there is very good and was used by a ton of Inara members. That will change when 2.3 drops when a large portion will likely switch to the Holo-Me instead (as many with Beta Access have done already).

I started on the discord channel, some people were bored, so I made the first contact and learned about the system. Later I decided to give it a visit (also did that in-game) and met one of those I talked to in the bar. It sure helped me a bit getting into it because I had someone to interact with from the start. Silvolioun also made a solid entrance into the bar and RP (I guess you've read that).
