The bar tender must've sensed it too for a second after yet another man departed, he called out "Bar's closed in ten people!"

Does make it kind of difficult for those who want to start Rp'ing in the bar.

LOCK IN~

Vitu'i MaVitu could count the remaining personas on one hand.

He has sure a large hand. But yeah, in times where the day lasts 120 seconds I guess the bar never closes unless the station is under UA attack.

Vitu'i ma,

NPC's are kinda funky. They are a grey area in forum RP. Given the culture on this site, the person who created the  the NPC, controls it (some places they are free game, but from I have seen here it's typically the person that created the NPC, drives it). In terms of operational NPC's such as the bar tender and the flight controller, it's fine to have them do things so long as it doesn't NOT affect everyone else. So like shutting the bar down for an evening is kinda a no go.

I hope this helps. And feel free to pop questions up. Most of us are a friendly bunch and we want to encourage new people to join!

I should mention that Phisto's reaction to the barkeep "closing" was a lighthearted jab.

No doubt it's something you do today, but is old newspaper as wrapping still a thing in the 34th century? Even newspaper in printed form?

I'd say newspapers don't exist in ED's 34th century. I've always imagined magazines, Galnet etc as being downloads on dataslates (very much like present-day Kindles). For parcels you'd probably need to buy purpose made wrapping paper. Especially in the Federation. They'll sell anything...

You don't think that staring at a tiny screen, for half an hour, to keep up with all the news in the human bubble, might be considered as a painfull exercise?

I think there's newspapers, magazines, and books in the future. If not only for the simple fact that dataslates hurt...

I'd say they wouldn't be the major news outlets, but probably local station papers, or even planetary papers for the out there more disconnected planets. They probably still exist for the fact that they're easy to make, so it's not totally unrealistic that someone would get a hold of one even if it was just for recycling.

TBH I was worried about the fact that my character owns a dog (though i have no idea why i would even think they were extinct XD). Didn't even think about the newspaper...everyone loves a touch of nostalgia though, there's gotta be at least a few companies out there producing vintage stuff. I can definitely edit to make it fit with the lore if need be though.
