Pho-Tog81Hi all,
I'm new to the whole role play. Do i just jump in and introduce my character to the scene.?

That's generally how most people so it, yes. Just be sure to give the RP etiquette sections a read first!

StrasnyLadaI may not need it, but I would like to be corrected anyway. See, repeating mistakes or not caring about them is a sign of stupidity or ignorance and I don't want to be either :-)
I like you already
Me too.

Ditto the ladies' comments and raised with a whole loving of the "inn-mates" — the natural extension of the "lock-in" one has to presume. Good on yer Stras'!

@IndigoWyrd: For future reference I'd advise you to steer clear of "Elevator Override" Keycards. For one, Inara isn't under Imperial control, so why would it work there, and two, it's very close to touching on the "God Mode" mentioned in the etiquette above. Then again, maybe I'm being overly cautious about it and someone else will tell me so.

There'd be nothing wrong with just having your character slide in through the doors just as they shut, it's a hazard of RP that things can move on just as you see the opportunity to join in, but one most people are happy to accommodate by blurring the lines between what's said and what happened =)

agreed,

but its not like I could do any better (kingesly being a freelancing Merc)

I mean, I can set them out as logbooks, but open RP on fourms, not my cuppa tea

Tell me about it. Whoever this Daman guy is, he's a pro at roleplayng a delusional incompetent and staying in character!

I think I'd call it, naively determined, but yeah. I think it's kind of impressive.

I'm actually having trouble working out what's In Character and what's Out Of Character for a few posters...

I've been talking to him a bit. Daman says that he meant for it all to be in-character, and that he's not trying to attack the BO players personally.

I'd like to ask, however, if you (black omega) guys were aware of this or not?

Agreed. Sometimes it's really hard to determine between the two. But when you take a closer look, it all becomes very obvious quickly.

Not much naivity to be found there. The man and his followers knows how to do things with the limited resources they've got.

I disagree. On the RP boards? IC. Anywhere else? Personal attack (regardless of intent).

Iunno, tbh you're one of the ones I had trouble working out the OOC/IC nature of, Ryan, lol!
