1) Don't be a twat
2) Respect the setting (i.e no out-of-universe stuff like Khajit, Lightsabers, Mutant Penguin Whats-it Things, Tardis, you get the idea).
3) Taking control of other peoples' characters without their consent is frowned upon
4) Correct spelling and grammar is preferable.
5) Drinks aren't free

Also, special snowflakes and Mary Sue's. As much as we want to paint our characters in a good light, at the end of the day, they are human. They cannot, simply be awesome at everything. Such characters are boring. But flaws are what make characters interesting. It's what helps relate the reader to the. It gives them the human touch.

7) Always remember things said in RP don't necessarily reflect the users opinion. They're playing a part, as are you.
