Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

GiyariI'm actually having trouble working out what's In Character and what's Out Of Character for a few posters...
Agreed. Sometimes it's really hard to determine between the two. But when you take a closer look, it all becomes obvious very quickly.

Ryan... If there's a list of people who make it hard to differentiate between IC and OOC stuff, your name is on that list. It's really not helped by the fact your tone in "Banter" is exactly the same as the tone you use in "General" or even "Updates/Bug Reports"

Don't take it personally, (or do, your choice), but at the end of the day if you're permanently IC on here then I recommend getting some tips from the IWG about character portrayal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What if I'm permanently in character by choice?

Then more power to you! I find it exhausting to be IC all the time. Dasha's too much of a damaged individual, and a bit too hot headed too, for me to keep up with all the time.

I prefer to be my sarcastic "poke-the-bear" cheerful self when I'm not writing a post, lol

GiyariIunno, tbh you're one of the ones I had trouble working out the OOC/IC nature of, Ryan, lol!

I can assure you that if you'd piss me off IRL, you'd notice. There be not much RP talk involved in such responses.

As to not to be able to determine about IC and OOC - there are several people who use obvious IC speeches on Reddit and other places towards people who do think that they're talked to OOC. And if they're getting confronted about it, they claim it was all just RP and nobody should take it serious.

I'm the one getting called out for passive aggressive behaviour sometimes, but am I the only one weaving certain tones in his sentences? Negative. There are some persons who are quite adept at using words to sound like praises, while in reality they're trying to belittle the recipient of their little trash talks.

Pitiful at best.

Then say their names, Ryan. Quit hiding behind that which you accuse them of.

In fairness, you're talking to a guy who posted a piece of poetry to address an issue he had with someone who wasn't even on Inara, about something completely unrelated to anything on this website.

If that isn't passive-aggressiveness, I don't know what is. I'm also not sure if it's worth waiting for him to improve.

What's with all the hostility on Inara lately?

I think a lot of folks are rightfully bothered with someone clearly having an issue with them, but not being adult enough to lay it out.

Along with certain persons being kept on a very, very short leash lest it happens again.

Genuinely though, who's on your list of people that can't separate IC from OOC?

I did say if there was a list. Not that I had one. =)
