Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

Giyari... One more question (for now). How much do people tend to connect their RPing with their in game account's situation/actions?

Completely. All my ingame actions are RP'd in accordance with how I feel my character would behave. The logs I write are, in turn, inspired by my ingame RP (albeit with some embellishment).

Different. Some keep it close to what they actually did ingame, others make it up.

I for example have visited Citi Gateway ingame prior to popping into it in the RP forums, and generally try to keep it close.
If you read up my told story lost in the pages of the bar, all of it that could happen ingame actually happened ingame.

Edit: Dammit, got ninja'd!

Brilliant. I think I'd probably do a mix of both to be honest. What I do in game, just now anyway, isn't very exciting.

Formating, style, length and rate of posting is up to you. Take a moment to go back through posts to familiarize yourself with current arcs going on so you have a general idea of what is going on.

Nice one, that's pretty helpful!

Very little of what I do in game makes it into my Things (log book stories) but that is changing slowly.
The same is partially true with the roleplay. Mostly because I dun goofed at the beginning, and things are a bit disjointed.

At the end of the day, you do you, and I'm sure it will amazing. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Regarding the banter forums, I like it canon.   Fits in with my improvisational nature.

With RP and the game, RP informs my game play and vice versa.  It inspires and shapes what I do.

i agree

I tend to keep in game activities and my logs separate, as I do a lot of things in game that my character would never do, although I will often visit systems I mention to get screenshots and intel prior to posting.

Simon DaturaI think for the most part, it can be considered non-canon.

Don't you mean, non-Cannon
XD

Boom boom, as Basil Brush used to say.

For me, I try and attempt to keep what is said in my journals as close as possible to what I actually RP in-game or my posts. Then again, RP'ing in ED is a tad bit different than SWG way back when. So, it probably just comes down to preference.

And Giyari, I'll reply to your post in The Docks when I'm off work and not on my phone. Or I'll just come bother the others.

Ohhh, nice! Thanks, some interactions would be cool

Most of my RPing is done like this in text format, so I think what I'll probably do is try to just make up a story for my actions in game, give a reasoning for my random gameplay directions, lol.

I really should give myself a goal other than "get bigger ship"

Well now I'm going to have to find an appropriate way to differentiate my characters dialogue in the banter section.

Neat addition though.

Does anyone know what happened to Sekiou?

He's kinda the centre of the RP in the bar at the time but seems to be missing...

Have you tried sending him a message? He could just be busy with life.
