Maybe...however, all the sim time in the world can't duplicate all the variables of actually sitting in a cockpit. Granted, simulations in 3304 would be far and away beyond the capabilities of current flight simulators. By flight simulator, I mean the training tool pilots use in the present day that's a mock-up of a cockpit mounted on hydraulic lifts, etc etc, not the game genre.

Full disclosure: In real life I've worked on the maintenance side of the aviation field for the last 17 years, I work with pilots quite a bit. Sim time is good for safely introducing new required skills and reinforcing old skills, but it's not a replacement for cockpit time if it's reasonably safe to do so.

Sites for Unknown Fragments:

Go to one of the crashed Anaconda ships, they always have a few unknown artifacts (destroy them and get one or two fragments from each artifact). Scoop 'em in your SRV, relog and do it again, it'll only take a few minutes to get all 25.

IZANAMI - A 4 A @ Lat: -2.25 - Lon: 145.13

HIP 17403 - A 4 A @ Lat: -34.98, Lon: -141.41

Okay so although CQC is used as a recruitment tool for the Feds, it's feasible that someone could move on to other things instead.

Hi there, just for those of you who were following my stories.

Just wanted to apologise for the long delay in getting the next one up. A lot more of my Xmas Holidays were taken up than I had anticipated. I'm back at college now so I'll be back to my regular schedule hopefully.

Of course... with telepresence, why recruit for the navy at all? Why not just the gamers of the Federation into battle against the Thargoids from the safety of their living rooms?
