Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

I'm currently trying to immerse myself in the setting and mold something of a persona to RP with and give my gameplay some direction.
I think I got something rolling so far, ways off from being a refined character, but I was hoping by bringing it here I could get some advice. Coming back I gave myself the mindset to be open to all forms of content so I can not trap myself into one thing and get bored. I do some Exploration, Combat and trading and adopted a "freelancer" kind of profession. Expanding on that I made money a motivation to start off with, something simple and generic enough to motivate and bend.
I started playing around the Merlinist food crisis, went over and pitched in and read up on some of the news. Along side the Galactic Summit newsline. Meanwhille looked at some of the powers to maybe work alongside with. When the Galagtic Summit CG started, i ended up siding with Sirius Corporation and decided to pledge to LYR as a "Contract" to Sirius Corporation.
To create some flaw and conflict to artifically give me an enemy, I give my character an irrational dislike for communists or anyone that seems to harbor some "closet commie" way of thinking (Disclaimer, open to the topic IRL) to play into his greed and find Zachery Hudson to be a suitable secondary power to sign on with. Giving my character the mindset of a republican in the Federation, I actually very much liked his profile in the codex and let that influence the persona I'm building.
I have two logs up atm. They're nothing incredible, but it's something I shot out to put the persona to paper and try and play with it a bit.
Sidenote: Is there any kind of RP scene for LYR players?

Also, don't forget about your bio. I know I enjoy reading other CMDR's bios.
Good start, mate, keep it up. 07

JB ThreepwoodJust read your logs....I liked them. Hopefully we'll see more of Gheeda's character, maybe why he hates commies... why money is his main drive. If you create a backstory to show why he's the way he is would be fun to read.

Appreciate it mate.
Any advice on writing a bio? What kind of bios do you typical like seeing?

Also, like you already have, I like to see what the character looks like. It's just easier to picture the characters talking if you've got an idea of what they look like.
These are just my feelings on it, other people will have their own views on it.

Hope you got nice week end & good flight.
I plan on publishing sort of a "commander memories" (sort of a final review of the game fom my point of view, including screenshots & spoilers, not much oriented RP) on the inara Website, but since i'm not that familiar with it i can't decide where to publich on the website.
Any advice?

Any advice?
I would recommend that you put it all into a logbook under your commander profile. You will probably need to use a third party image hosting site from which to import your pictures.

Bar! nothing wrong with that. Don't be tempted to go back and change it if you get into writing as it's one of the first thing you put down. If you do, keep a copy of the original.
I look back at my bio and wince. I've settled my approach to writing since then, but I still like to read my early stuff to see how I've developed. I've had plenty of inspiration form other people's lay out and style to go back and improve the bio, but then it wouldn't be mine.
