Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

We all know we shouldn't enjoy that sort of thing, be we're only human. Just like that lovely lil fighter, it's all good in the end.
If ya gonna go big with correcting me, and I did do wrong, I'm going to respond on the same level. That's all, on evil intended. I assumed you were game for a bit of jibing given what you present.
I WISH I had a crew to do my bidding, but I don't
If ya gonna speak (or type) in public, people are gonna give you their opinion. God knows I've had a lot of flack from people on INARA for my Logs and RP posts but it's all part of putting it out there. There are a few people on here that make me groan every time they post, I ignore them. You ain't one of them Simon.
Ya like that lil lump in the fluffy slipper that is INARA. I could get rid of it, but I know I'd miss it if it wasn't there.

Is that what I'm reading here?

I imagined a sweet lil kitten getting fusses after being moody would do it, but I'm all out of ideas now.

LordPsymonI have no malice, only mild frustration. I am however willing to put this to bed and move on.
Maybe, but he still needs to express how utterly bothered he was by your use of Will Smith. We may as well let him get that out of his system first. It's clearly very important to him.

Nononononononono, this is the internet, it doesn't work like this. You need to argue the same point over and over and over again, until one of you calls the other one "Hitler" and the other one tells them to "die in a fire" as response. That's the rule for arguments on the internet.
How else am I going to harvest my daily drama quota?

You could create a cringy snowflake of a character that has no place in Elite lore and insist that people accept it.

It's mere conjecture on my part, & pardon me if I'm way off target, but I suspect that there might be an added impetus to RP with such a character, simply because of some others having such opprobrium with that character.
i.e., a bit of a 'spite' thang, if you get my drift.
Damned Rebels!

Synthya WylderI think that the matter of 'accepting' would only be expressed in the willingness to engage in RPing with that character.

"I'm gonna do the thing because most people think I shouldn't and that'll piss 'em off haw haw!" doesn't strike me as a terribly well-thought-out motive, either in online roleplay or life in general.

I get it, the feeling that some would prefer to maintain the stranglehold on all things E:D, even in 3rd-party sites like Inara.
But, it's called "Role-Play" for a reason, right? I mean, just how much latitude & freedom does one have to try to write something other than strutting around in a bar, ordering drinks, posturing, talking about smuggling, armed conflict, assassinations, etc. etc. etc., all more or less along the same lines as so many others ad nauseam?
I'm not intending to cast dispersions on anyone else's writing - I applaud them for even giving it a try, in fact, & some RPers writing actually does a stellar job, exercising their creative imaginations in offering detailed & compelling storylines.
All that while doing a decent job remaining within the narrow & stifling boundaries of the E:D universe, originally based on simple pew-pew & not developing much beyond that ever since.
If it was done in-game, I could see the reason why some would be calling foul upon seeing something that crosses the so-called borders, but hey, Inara is a 3rd-party site, yes? In-game, how many options for character design are offered, while on Inara, the sky is more or less the limit.
While I personally may not agree with another's choice of character (description/design) doesn't mean that I think it my place to criticize & crush their creativity beneath a despot's heel.
I'd simply decline to involve myself (character) with their RP.
