Lambast MercyWhen I use the ships I don't have a computer on, I always get the hard to spot pads right by the slot.
Thankfully the compass shows you where your pad is once you're pass the mailslot. But yeah, I know that feeling...

LordPsymonIf you want to write, grammar is something that you should get a proper grasp on rather than taking short cuts.
That's true.
However, what I've seen graduated from the public schools with which I've worked for the last 10 years, most of the students need all the help that they can get; besides, using something like Grammarly might provide a wee bit of tutoring, in addition to helping correct the horrible grammar, punctuation & spelling with which too many seem perfectly comfortable in more recent times.
I didn't post the link for my benefit.

It dose!
Well brown my toast, always something basic to learn. I used the external cam to find a next-to-slot bay until now.
I'll check it out next time.

KammusThe RP around here seems slow. Is there a different option, or a better RP hub?
You just got off your ship.
RP wise, this is the first opportunity anyone has had to interact with His Lordship.
As for what anyone can tell from what you've given us so far? You got a big expensive ship and a crew that you're using to make fast money. Now Kammus in striding around barking orders, he doesn't seem to need help or want anyone getting in his way. He seems like a man on a mission with enough people and resources behind him to get on with it.
A lil hook to invite other people to get involved could help.
I've been talking with a fair number of people that use INARA to RP, and they are at home with the kids giving them no time or drive to type. They have so much free time nothing is tempting them, least of all typing in RP. They are very busy now they have time at home to do DIY/House Work that the computer is left in the background. It has been quiet on Citi Gateway, even before the lockdown.
It is slow right now unfortunately, you may have better luck if you slow down a lil too.

Inviting other to interact with you is an acquired skill. Prior to my time here, I was doing RP in another game, almost exclusively real time chat in game. I personally spent several years as the leader and one of the main recruiters for a group there, so been quite accustomed to invite interaction and observe behaviours of others. However, I've found I can't really get into it here on the forums.

Sorry to have ruffled your feathers. Usually when things are slow, it means people have moved on to different things or different platforms. I have plenty of time to wait. I just didn't want to step on anyone's RP toes. I shall try to inject myself into the conversation.
As far as Kammus, yes, he's an imperial duke, he worked for his title and I felt he should be played as such. Hopefully that's not off putting, just trying to fit with the lore.
Please do let me know if that's wrong.

As for ya dude, he's gotta be who ya want him to be otherwise you won't enjoy using him. For me, he seems unapproachable but then Lambs a snooty "Deal with it my self" type too.
Fortunately, I got invited to join an ongoing story so I didn't have to fish for an "in"

I used NPCs in Synthya's RP... since I felt the urge to write it, & couldn't very well ask anyone to join in if there was an already existing general storyline idea in place.
It remains open, however.

Synthya WylderPerhaps, if The Duke happens to stride into the bar, & strikes up a conversation with the NPC barkeep? It seems to be a general social meeting place...

I think this is good advice. The bar is a fairly reliable way to open yourself up for conversation. I advice to give some hook for someone to be intrigued by or interact with however. Going into the bar, order a drink, and sit down in a dark corner in silence isn't exactly inviting engagement. Imagine yourself in the situation: You are sitting/standing in the bar. Someone buys a drink, doesn't talk to someone or do something peculiar, and sit down alone. Would you walk over to them specifically?
