Elite roleplay: Q&A and OOC

Creamy hasn't come along with Jason or Ao, he's still waiting to find out what Nerys wants to do.

The Dude is still quite def and less than able to run about with haste. The only reason he knew Nery whispered "Shit" was because S & T make quit hard sounds and Nerys was close to Creamys' head. .. That and its a common response to an explosion.

Please give Nerys a chance to respond to our last interaction before you move us along.

Huh? The way I understood it Nerys and Creamy got dragged along as security wanted that pad cleared of everyone?
22 Jun 2020, 6:46pm
No, we (Creamy and Nerys) stopped on the other side of a closing bulkhead. Creamy asked Nerys what she wanted to do. Mostly coz he wanted to rest a second and OCC, so I wasn't deciding for Nerys what she should do or go next.

You guys all decided to go to the aid of Amata in your own posts and that's cool, and I don't mind having the scene moved along, but Creamy is waiting on Nerys and is not fit enough to run about, although he will try if Nerys decides to follow people as she cast soppy sod-itus on him

Edit

Oh yes we did move off the landing pad away from the DBX to the other side of the bulkhead and stopped there.

So it basically depends on Nerys if she dragged Creamy along, hmm?

Just one of the hickups of so many people enjoying the story

Creamy dose a lot of leading Nerys around, but I try not to take Nerys the writer out of the scene. For all I know, she may need Nerys back on her ship or off to the police station to give her statement. Its just not my choice.

It makes moving the story along a bit of a disjointed affair sometimes, but it's part of writing with other people.

No harm done, just take the refrance to Nerys and Creamy out. You guys are fine meeting the new guys where you are while Creamy catches his breath and Nerys gets a chance to type something before we all end up else where.

Just let me say its cool to see so many people involved. There's bound to be hickups along the way, but we'll sort it.

Well, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Synthya WylderAnd to add from 1 of my previous comments, it's my opinion that unless something is expressly forbidden in E:D Lore, it's therefore implied that it's permitted, although it's my own personal style to be prepared to back it up with a plausible explanation.

Are you talking about behaviour or technology? I would say that for the former you can go wild with whatever you can come up with: if you can think of it now, with the billions upon billions living in ED someone is probably doing it. I wouldn't agree that any technology that's not forbidden is implicitly allowed however.

Apply my keyword "plausible" as a qualifier.

That's fair. I think I read too much emphasis on the first part of the sentence and not enough on your last part. I would agree that any plausible technology not explicitly forbidden/discarded should be available. My definitely of plausible would be at generally similar level as other known technology, not vastly exceeding known levels.

Creamy Goodness IIIas she cast soppy sod-itus on him

I mean I just tried to kung fu fight my interest so at least yours came from a more... peaceful encounter( ? ). at least doc and patient is more believable of a story than attempting to beat the shit out of each other lmfao

I think of 'plausible' like this: 'possible' + 'believable'. Not as strong as 'likely'.

I assumed Plausible was just a fancy word for "Theoretically possible," within the given relativity of course. For instance, It's plausible for us to have fully AI controlled cars within the next decade, but it is not a certainty.

'believably possible'.

Speaking of believably possible, anyone know anything more on this topic? I can't find any sources, but it sounds believable, especially if we should consider that HoloMe isn't just a game way to decide how you look, but an actual representation of what's in the "seat".

I have previously considered that your body would be already placed in the escape pod capsule, probably submerged with lungs full of liquid to reduce damage from G-forces. This could explain several of the mechanics in game (such as how you can reach the escape pod in time to survive) and how the life support module really works, considering you're in a space suit in a chair, it's actually the limit of how long the module can support the ship before it has to sever connection and dump the escape pod, not how long a several ton heavy module can supply oxygen to your suit remotely.

Not seen any actual source but it's something interesting to consider, and in my eyes believably possible. Not -that- far of currect tech, with VR, breathable liquid, and various hospital life extending technologies (IV, ventilators, dialysis, artificial blood circulation etc).

I'd be curious as to the source of this statement & its validity within that post you linked: "...Instead of total cryogenic stasis, RemLok is a machine induced altered state of mind, in addition to physiological stasis to adjust the subjects perception to the speed traveled..."

It would be a blatant rip-off of Eve, but considering everyone wants a lore explanation for everything...
