Max Thoreson aka “Thor”After reading the role play threads on here for the last 6 months or so I finally decided to create a role play character. Changed my name and added a new background bio. I will probably change my commander image in the next week or two. This will be my first attempt at role playing online so looking for constructive criticism. Welcome to the family bud, seems Amata and the others have already beaten me to the best tips we can offer, best thing i can offer is not actually my advice but something someone recently said to me;
'Its an exercise in creativity to keep a narrative going while others are de-railing (intentionally or not) the direction you were going. I find with a bit of respect for everyone contributing, something well worth a read can grow from intertwining styles.'
Just go with it and write the story that you want to write, and have fun with it
half the fun of RP is reacting to another character's post.Also don't be afraid to flesh out your 'Main' character's world with other characters and events, much in the way Amata recommended, Rose Yamamoto and August Arquette are both mine as well, and were originally intended to just be footnotes in Ao's bio, but I am slowly building them up to be their own character's ready for introduction to the story, August's bio is not ready yet but feel free to have a read of Ao and Rose's bios, the 'Lorebooks' as I like to call them for the trio's background Lore are all in Ao's logbooks.
They are pretty rough by the standards of most of the guys here but I hope the help
