Shouldn't Sappho be fine? The way I understood it she's basically a genderswapped Achilles with benefits...

If the distinction were to be noted regarding the difference between AI & machine sentience, I'd think so too, but that doesn't seem to be the case; what discussion there was seemed stuck in a loop of dogma rather than actual discussion. The actual topic was never discussed; I made my points based on existing Elite lore & got nothing more than regurgitation.

Now that any really interesting RP has been officially quashed, I'm deciding whether to unsubscribe from all of the RP sections.
There can be many interesting RP stories made (although the perception of the "interesting" is subjective, I admit) even for the current real world settings with a few "simple" additions (for example like Vampire:Masquerade). I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be possible in Elite's sci-fi setting, which offers more flexibility than just a single element added. It's just about the sentient androids that currently are not a thing (although Achilles is making non-sentient androids), similar for various cat-like characters and so on.
