You don't get it! I did adjust Rain and her story. But you made it clear when you send "Sentinent androids, "furries", etc. currently doesn't belong to the existing Elite timeline. Period." Do I need to underline it? Furry as in Rain! There is no tomorrow for anything of mine here! You made it very clear.

Artie, May I make a suggestion? Could a non-lore based thread be created for those that want to create stories that don’t fit in Elite lore? That way folks that choose a different path have a creative outlet on the form?

Well, the "no to so-called furries" is a RP policy here for a very long time and if I recall correctly, this was discussed again a month ago and you was told about it. That you have decided to ignore it is nobody's responsibility but yours, sorry to be that harsh. But you can always alter the older posts for the continuity, adjust it for a costume or something like that. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Of course, this apply only for the RP threads here, you can still write anything you wish into logbooks. Although there is recommended to stick with Elite's lore, it's not enforced any way.

Hmm... that may worth a consideration, but I think the logbooks may be covering that sufficiently already?

Artie, That they are...but they lack interaction with other folks in a “role play” if that makes sense. Logs are like playing in Solo, the “Role play” section is like playing in open...

That's a good point. The new thread Roleplay: Alternative reality was added and let's see how that will work. The same RP rules as in other RP threads apply, except the lore-friendly requirement.

I think until it will fit the general RP rules/etiquette and still somehow will fit Elite, anything can happen in there.

You didn't read her profile/bio. I'm sorry but even the new room is to late, and it's already being called a joke. Damage is done, Artie. Even with lore being used for other ideas I just don't see a point anymore for having fun.

I like the idea of a new room. That works fine. If people creatively and plausibly write their scenarios, everything will work out fine.

As a furry myself (though my character, Nova Cassidy, is not) who once wrote a bio and logbook for an AI (who likely would have been installed into an android that would have been sentient if I chose to continue writing that character) this ruling is completely fine. If you're going to be RPing with other people in the Elite universe, your character and the thing your character does should fit in with the lore of that universe. Makes sense to me! Elite doesn't have sentient androids or anthro characters, so they shouldn't be inserted into RP with everyone else trying to keep it lore-friendly, the same way I wouldn't try to introduce someone with super powers from Witchspace, or my DND character. They don't belong in this particular setting!

Have you moved from a universe you love (Star Trek) because you are disillusioned by the changing lore that you need to try to recreate your favourite parts of it in someone else's backyard (Elite: Dangerous)?

Please take the challenge set before you and create something great within the bounds given. It is ok to decline but you show your true colours by backing down from it.

The snark was intended, however in good faith. I assumed Synthya could handle a little criticism from an angle that challenged her perspective. I have no regrets, there was no malice in it.

In my RP I used a "bar bot" to bring me drinks.. i suppose that is out of canon.. This was a fun exercise. Creative improv writing was a great idea.

I suggest 2 things: 1.) An effective primer as to what the Base lore and rules are for those who want to RP on this site.

2.) A creative lead who is going to guide the story and therefore a more organised "club" since there seems to be a lot of RULES for being creative here. As such members should need to be accepted through some kind of vetting process before getting access to posting here for RP. If that steps on your toes I think you cant have it both ways. Having an OPEN forum anyone can write in is going to conflict with those who have a bunch of rules we need to stick to. so make up your mind. is this an OPEN forum or a CLOSED CLUB.
