Some of you will remember my brief interlude with Creamy in his ship last year. I like RP, but I keep trying and can't come to terms with the much slower pace of things happening over a forum compared to real time in game.

Which brings me here: With Odyssey out the door, are there plans for any specific location "The Bar" where people could show up and meet eachother for some RP (if instancing is playing with us)? I for one have been loving seeing my squad mates in person. Way more immersive and personal than just seeing them in the ship.

Citi Gateway in the Inara system seems like a decent shout.

I liked the interaction, two people that don't fit together is fun. Glad to see your still about.

I did find a large bar at the end of a 'street' of 7 habs in an abandoned settlement last night. A large bar with plenty of space, it would be great for getting together with a crowd. I'll have to check my logs to see if I can find out where it was.

I enjoyed it too! And yea, I'm still about, but not been frequenting these boards or any forums, just enjoying some semi-serious PP (you can probably guess for whom...).

That bar is a really cool find! Once I get on I will bookmark the location. Having a bunch of people meet up for some RP would be cool. Just have to adopt the gentleman rule of don't actually shoot eachother, as it makes it disruptive and unfun if you're sent into orbit and yanked away from even seeing the conversation.

Generally I think you shouldn't put another commander in a situation where the only realistic outcome is death unless such have been agreed before. I've had a situation in another game where a character had a gun pulled on them. Shortly after, the one who pulled out the gun and aimed it point blank at the head emoted "pulls the trigger". You can't realistically escape that and would have to accept character death, or ignore it. While not strictly power emoting, the outcome is basically the same. Yes, maybe the situation could have been avoided, but I find it good practise to avoid reasonable outs for both characters from any situation. If you're particularly aggressive and reckless, you probably should be willing to accept serious injury however.

Yeah.
I want to say a public 'thank you' to Creamy and JB for that nice RP arc that we did last few days. Was some great and even useful experience. Enjoyed writing with you both. And a chance to write my own spin-off is awesome as well.
